GetGamesGo is having a sale. Not much that makes me go "Wow!" except Anno 2070 is $16.99 vs. $50 on Amazon or Steam.

Edit: Anno 2070 not available for North American buyers. GGG says Ubisoft won't let them sell it to NA.

Everything else either just doesn't look interesting or has been recently on sale for less ($14.99 vs Amazon's $7.99 for AC: Brotherhood).

Edit: I guess the prices for Civ V, Tropico 4 and Red Orchestra 2 are good.

GMG has Borderlands for $4.99 but it's not GOTY and not compatible with DLC from other retailers.

And, other than the art style, it's a pretty repetitive and uninteresting game.

I would like to play Anno 2070 or The Settlers 7, but Ubisoft has some of the most ridiculous DRM.

Pirated copies don't have all the issues their DRM is causing.

Fortunately I'm interested in neither title, so I don't have to take the moral hazard.

You can get a free copy of Cities in Motion for filling out a 15-20 minute survey for Paradox Interactive. Offer good to March 31, keys sent out via e-mail in April. I've no idea if there's a limited number of keys available but they don't say so and it's the publisher offering them so I'd guess not.

I have no opinion of Cities in Motion, having never played it but free is still free.

Edit: Survey took me maybe 5-7 minutes. Questions about what you consider important in games, what Paradox titles you've played, what you're willing to pay for DLC, etc.

Saint'S Row the Third is $24.99 on Steam this weekend.

I've been playing it lately, and it's worth about 25 bucks. A pretty decently large open world to play in, with a good variety of missions and activities. There could be a greater variety of weapons, but once you get dual wield and explosive rounds for the handguns, you'll rarely use anything else anyway.

GMG is offering a $10 voucher towards a few games. They're all $60 games but if you were planning on buying one anyway, ten bucks is ten bucks. Code GREEN-DISCO-UNT10

Works on Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Kingdoms of Amalur, Syndicate, BF3, Black Ops and The Darkness. The last being not worth it since I'm already seeing it drop into the $25-$35 range on sale.

Steam has Two Worlds II on sale for $15 this week. Has anybody played it, and would recommend picking it up at this price?

Deus Ex 75% off sale at GamersGate

DE:HR is $7.50 and the Missing Link DLC is $3.75. Plus sales on the minor DLCs and original game.

Steam is doing "2K Publisher" weekend sales with today being Borderlands:GOTY for $7.50

GMG, besides its Mass Effect 3 sale, has Civ V for $7.50; Civ V is a 2K game though so the GOTY version might still go on sale at Steam.

I have a love/hate relationship with this thread.

I love seeing the deals, I hate having to skip them because the 'to play' pile is too big.

I used it for one of them I think. Did you mention the DnD Master collection being cheap?

Today on Steam, Bioshock 1 and 2 are 75% off. Part of the 2k games weekend sale.

Being that I didn't have them, I went ahead and bought them.

Too bad you still have to purchase the single player DLC for BioShock 2 through GFWL.

That is what I would call a must buy if you don't have them already.

Amazon has a buy-one-get-one-free sale on DRM free Ubisoft titles. Plus the titles are already on sale for $5 each so it works out to $2.50 a game assuming you buy an even number.

Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut

Call of Juarez
Call of Juarez 2: Bound in Blood

Far Cry
Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition

Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc

The Settlers: Heritage of Kings
The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Gold Edition

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown
Tom Clancy's EndWar
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.

That's a whole lotta Tom Clancy.

So I spent a while getting my original XBOX controller to play nice with Windows 7, but apparently it doesn't work with like any of my Steam collection. This is the first time in years I've had a PC that can run current titles (I was running a Win2k machine 'til around November) so I'm just very used to console gaming. I guess I'll just stick it out and get used to the keyboard controls.

It works with Super Meat Boy but the buttons are all wrong and there's no remapping options.

At least I can use it on my SNES and N64 emulators. Smiley: lol

Must be an "original Xbox" thing. I know I can use an Xbox 360 controller just fine with multiple Steam games. Both native Valve stuff like Portal and stuff from other publishers (Just Cause 2, Batman: AA, etc).

I've got a Logitech (F510 I think) controller that I use with a bunch of my Steam Games. It has a little switch on the back where I can switch between x-input and direct input. I don't really know the difference, and I'm too tired to find out right now, but apparently older games used one of them and new games use the other. It's actually a fairly good controller for the money, though I wish the triggers were a bit less stiff.

Well, it's part of it. I used the controller fine on my Win2k machine an with WinXP. You have to jump through extra hoops to get it working on Win7, due to driver issues.

I don't really have much of a Steam collection, but my intention was to get it working to play Mass Effect 1 with it. I then purchased Bioshock for $5 and it doesn't work with that either. I know, I know... it's blasphemy to want to play these games with a controller. Whatever.

I guess I could just buy a 360 controller, but it's not like I'm doing anything with these Xbox controllers, and I doubt they sell for anything respectable.
