I played Bioshock a couple years ago now so any references more subtle than "Ayn Rand! Rapture! Objectivism!" will probably sail right past me.

I still have Bioshock 2 sitting on my desktop. havent played more than 30 min of it, if that. What's crazy is I loved Bioshock 1 and would say its easily a top 10 favorite, if not top 5.

Also Bioshock Infinite looks amazing....

GamersGate released B:I Steam keys for early downloading. 17GB download. I assume the other retailers will be releasing them soon (if they haven't already).

Oooh, are the Sims 3 expansions a good deal at that price? I'm missing almost all of of them (I only own World Adventures). I want to get either late night, ambitions, or supernatural expacs, but I'm still unsure.

I ended up buying Ambitions/Late NIght/Supernatural Plus....

Since the last one was Sims 3 Plus Supernatural (same price as for just the Super upgrade itself)... I think I have a spare Sims 3 key (base game) if there is anyone out there that would like, first person to PM me gets the product key, hopefully it will work for you.

Good Kotaku article on this week's deals.

I grabbed Torchlight II and The Walking Dead from Gamefly for $13 and change.

I got drunk and accidentally pre-ordered bioshock infinite on steam. And I bought a lot of total war games. Getting drunk and opening up steam can be expensive. I think I also bought some other thing that was on sale for 2 bucks... oh yeah deadlight.

On the bright side I've never played the original bioshock so... with that and Xcom it wasn't a bad deal. And the total war games were only 22 bucks total.

For the Japanese-savvy members of the board (or alternately, those who are good at blind guesswork) - you can apparently get a free copy of Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light from the website and quiz mentioned in this thread:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=529473

Haven't tried it myself, but it seems to have been confirmed. Note though: they seem to only be good for the JPN region PSN. I haven't done so myself, but I gather that it's a trivial matter to set a JPN region account up for oneself.

Ha! I've been in the same spot but with music. Woke up with a dozen new songs a few nights. Usually they were pretty good... sometimes you find out you downloaded an entire Vanessa Carlton album. Oops.

I've only ever drunk-downloaded games that I already wanted. I ordered some games years ago that were so bad I WISH I had been drunk when I chose to buy them (Pokemon Stadium... Harvest Moon 64 off eBay for $80...)

Steam has Hitman: Absolution for $10 this weekend. I enjoyed the game and think it's worth the ten bucks, easily.

GamersGate is having a Borderlands sale this weekend. 50-66% off the games and DLC, some exceptions, etc. I could get a 4-Pack of BL2 for about $11 each but I doubt there's four people reading this thread who don't have BL2 but want to buy BL2 for $11.

Edit: I own BL2 but I'd be willing to host a bundle if there were four interested parties who I knew from a hole in the ground. Given the size of the usual crowd here I doubt that's the case but thought I'd make the offer.

BL2 really was a great experience. Even if you do just the initial playthrough, it's certainly worth $11 in my opinion.

I've been waiting on BL2 because there will eventually be a GoTY edition and I'll be able to just get the complete game all at once. That said, I'd buy it for 11 dollars...
