Yes it will be Base Price > Countries Conversion + Other Applicable inherent charges.

Which is a **** off really, in Canada our Dollar is almost par and was leading for some time compared to the USD. Yet still paying crazy markup fees.

I am very happy with the PS4 because it was a system designed by gamers and for gamers. The fact that they talked several times about opening up to Indie companies is fantastic. My Steam list is retarded because I see 5-10 dollar games and snag them mostly from Indie companies. Such as SuperGiantGames Bastion ******** awesome game get it.) With Sony supporting self published gaming it makes me so hot. (like seriously.)

I do not buy new games, because I hate the markup on them. It is absolutely garbage. 50 dollar games priced at 70 bucks, plus 13% sales tax. A game comes out around a hundred bucks for me. I have not bought a new game for my PS3 in about 4 years, I just wait a few weeks for used games....which makes me a huge consumer of the used game market, which Sony supports (mass applause....I guess thats important....thatll be a meme by morning.)

But really MS is more or less finished, I mean they can back pedal the other stuff away, they can have release day access for their apps for everyone...but they are 100 bucks more expensive, and clearly have less content on release than PS4 will.

Pack a Vita into a PS4 box for Christmas and Im sold.

Honestly, I don't even know what they would cover that would be worth paying watching... new Zelda or Mario maybe? but I've heard they are not developing new titles for either...

I feel this year, they've sort of painted themselves into a corner. They have the Wii, the Wii U, and the 3DS. The Wii is a solid system, but obviously they're looking to retire it slowly. The DS has some good support, but portable games can be a hard sell at a conference like this and I don't see them announcing new hardware.

That leaves the Wii U. It was meant to be a console that would target both the casual gamers and trying to rope in some hardcore gamers, but neither group is interested. Most of their conference will probably target the casual audience since I feel that needs to be their base, but they're stuck because the ones they were counting on switching the U have no intention of switching. The last 15 mins or so will probably show more hardcore games, possibly Bayonetta 2 gameplay, but I don't get the feeling their hardware is powerful enough to play any of the next-gen games.

Maybe we'll see some trailers for more current-gen ports? Though I've heard none of them have turned out very good so far.



Also, this just made me realize how little Sony put into showing off the Vita at their conference.

Not only coming to, but PS4 owners will be getting exclusive access to the beta (apparently the PC closed beta has started, but is behind NDA).

ESO will be on the PS4, that is correct.

Oh, I bet we'll see a new Super Smash Brothers, forgot about that IP.

Well, what could Nintendo do to regain interest in the system?
I don't own a Wii U, so maybe this already is a feature, but I think the first thing they could do to (slightly) draw my attention to the system would be to announce all NES and SNES titles will be available for the system through downloading.

JRPGs tend to be lower on the hardware requirements, so that could be another thing they might announce.

Designing for the Wii U seems to be like designing for the 360 when developers just want to move onto the PS4... not to mention the audience is so small, it might not even be profitable to make a game for the system.

Some days, I'm happy to be a Playstation fanboy. This is one of those days.
