Haven't grabbed the game yet... still doing some research.
I have a buddy who lives in Taipei and he said that Istory is like an "Unofficial" Taiwanese server,
I'm up in Sunny Old Snowy McCanada but we want to play on the same server, obviously.
Any Istorians in NA have issues?
Does my location even matter?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the people on our server don't interact much in game? I think I've spoken 10 words total to other players since the beta. Kinda stinks to be honest =\

Heh I think its a combination of factors as to why people dont speak.
1. They cant speak English so they have to use the insertable phrases.
2. They dont know how to communicate or use the /tell system to talk to people. let alone the /shout system to broadcast trade goods.
3. They're introverted and keep to themselves.
4. Common unfamiliarity with the game or with MMO's in general. FF has a lot of fans who've probably never played an MMO before so could be some of them.
As to the earlier post, Im on Istory and live in the eastern US, I have no server issues whatsoever.

Coming from FFXI there definitely is a lot less chatter. Shouts are less common for sure. However, party chat is super active

i played the FFXI too, yea, it's sooo much different from the old one.
or maybe "we"who played and enjoy the fun of FF11 should host our own LS in istory here, at least, there is still a group know when you are breath or dead =,=

Soon there will be alot more posts, just have to be paitient. Also, has anyone seen an advertisement on the television about it? I am happy I haven't, the immature players seem to be few and far between. Well, off to level crafting. See you soon ^.^.
