ApeX - Competitive Gaming Community With History, Pride, and Purpose

ApeX would like to open its doors to those looking for a fresh start in FFXIV 2.0
We welcome medium to hardcore level players on Cactuar server

History

ApeX is a NA based guild, though we are open to members from all over the world (server will be NA based). We are and have always been a smaller community. The roots of ApeX date back 5+ years ago spanning multiple games like CS, L2, Aion, FF14 1.0, Rift, Swtor, and Guild Wars 2.

We have had people come and go over the years as is the case with any guild. But we've maintained a very solid core group of players that are dedicated to helping the guild grow and compete alongside other top guilds. And at this moment would like to start opening our doors to people interested in endgame FF14 and would like to join our community and experience it together.

Goals

The goal of ApeX is to be the most competitive Guild possible while respecting real life obligations. Although in-game success is an important aspect of ApeX, the other goal of ApeX is just as important. Our members pull together almost like a family; and we strive to create a relaxed, and friendly atmosphere for all of our players. Our member base ranges from the medium to the hardcore.

ApeX prides itself for being competitive and holding its members to a higher standard. Being an ApeX guild member is traveling the road less taken. There is no easy route with us, everything is hard fought and earned. Often outnumbered, never outgunned.

For FF14, we will be taking this mentality and applying it to our time in the game. At this moment, PvE will be the main focus of FF14 until more details are available about the PvP. We'd like to create a nice group of guildies who would like to complete the endgame 24 man raids together. Playing a game should not feel like a job and we don't expect our members to treat it that way. That said, we'd also like for our members to be active enough to contribute to the guild's progression as well. We are NOT a guild that forces a minimum playtime or taxes or other bs like that. Raid loot will be dealt with fairly at that point when we reach it.

What We Are Looking For

We're currently recruiting quality players that want to experience FF14 has to offer mainly in the PvE environment at the moment. We are also open to PvP players as well. When we say quality we don't just mean how you play the game, but your attitude as well. How you conduct yourself inside and outside of the guild is just as important to us as how well you play.

ApeX being the smaller guild that it is means our players as individuals mean that much more to the overall success of the guild. Anybody can join a huge zerg guild and be another face in the crowd. We choose to remain a smaller guild to maintain our family-like atmosphere and so that our members feel like they matter to the guild as a whole and they do.

What We Require of You:
* Be 18 years of age or older. - Exceptions can be made with demonstrated maturity
* Use Ventrilo or whatever we decide to go with at the time (at least have the program if not a microphone)
* Be active and dedicated
* Follow the rules below

What We Are Not Looking For

Elitists - As mentioned above, we have created a relaxed, family-like environment for our members so any elitist attitude towards your fellow guild members will not be tolerated. While we may be competitive, we try not to be elitists. We will have members ranging from medium to hardcore and while we may try to give people suggestions or tips on playing, we will never try to force our opinions and personal play styles on other members. On the flipside of this, we expect all our members to have an open mind and be open to constructive criticisms and feedback.

Drama - Yes, people are bound to disagree from time to time. But we expect our members to behave like the adults they are and work things out like civilized human beings.

Cheaters/exploiters - This should really go without saying but just in-case, here it is. Cheating or exploiting of any kind will not be tolerated, and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Multi-Linkshells- If you are accepted among our ranks, you are expected to make ApeX your primary and only Linkshell. This may seem like a strict rule to some but we like to maintain our family-like atmosphere and it makes it a bit difficult when you have random people jumping from guild to guild. ApeX is not an "alt guild" and we're looking for people that are dedicated to helping bringing ApeX to the forefront.
