Heh, if you think that was bad Brisin.

I played boomkin in BC when we had 0 leather gear outside of t6 content that was actually good for us.

Oh yeah? Well, I played a Boomkin when Hurricane was the top tier talent and Oomkin was the official name for them.

Okay, I lied, I didn't. No one did.

I was Resto/Dagger spec'd like everyone else for Innervate.

Heh - I was a feral who got to DPS for trash then Healing Touch spam (as feral spec) on boss fights - and I still put out as much heals as the resto druids (just had no innervate to give out.

Good times......kind of.

BACK IN MY DAY WHEN I WAS A TREE WE WERE AUTOMATICALLY SNARED!!!!

I laugh when I say this stuff sometimes because it reminds me of back in BC when all the old vanilla raiders would be like "BAH YOU BC RAIDERS GOT IT EASY IT WAS TEN TIMES AS HARD FOR US!"

It's sad to think that in the next expansion we'll have people telling "the new kids" how it was like back in the days where Arthas was the bad guy and <class> had to spend talents to get <spell> ... yeah, it'll be around there I realize I'm old. In many ways.

Today while talking in /g I had a discussion about normalization of damage for special attacks that are based off weapon damage and then read up on crit rate suppression for melee DPS, it is -4.8% against boss mobs.

What did you do today?

I spent an hour at work yesterday raiding 25 ToC on my laptop, at work, and at 800x600 resolution with 500 ms and a spotty wireless connection.

I had a long conversation with one of our tanks. He wanted to know why the healers were able to keep the OT alive, while she solo-tanked Marrowgar after he died.

It ended with each of the healers filling out a page long questionnaire, answering questions like "What is your favorite healing spell and why?"

It's not even 9am and I need a beer...

I rode in to work (125cc scooter, yay!) in a storm only to get a voicemail while en route telling me that, due to the storm and hurricane-force winds, my company decided not to open today and I could stay home. The ride back, at least, was riding with a tailwind. Smiley: banghead

Spent the entire day listening to one of our teachers telling us about life's origin, classifications of life and requirements for the creation of life.

Then I had a mental breakdown about the two assignments that are due tomorrow. Then I had four cups of coffee and half a pack of cigarettes. I'm okay now.

Philly is "snowed in," and I work at a university here, and classes are canceled. Unfortunately, I don't teach, so I got to walk though several feet of snow to sit in a cold, windowless basement running experiments with the 6-7 other poor schmucks who are too unimportant/important to stay home. On the plus side, no meetings today!

Good thing you didn't quit, huh? Smiley: grin

Seriously, though, I'm feeling better now, having spent the last damn six hours of my life on writing a piece of crap paper about observations in an elementary school class. Now I just need to go through these 15 pages of the second assignment which is also due for tomorrow.

Up yoouuuuuurrrrrrs!

Yeah, 3 essays due tomorrow. Two of them I pretty much finished. The third one is still nearly 400 words short of the absolute minimum word limit, and about 1,200 of the ideal word count per our teacher. At least that one is just a draft and I have 2 more weeks to complete it. One of the other two is just a draft, as well, but reading through it was a very strange experience the last time I tried because it reads like a WoW fanfic/Twilight/erotica mix. In Victorian English.

And by next month, I have to hand in 2 more courseworks, at least one of them will hopefully be a very polished guild recruitment post with explanation of the use of language (talk about killing two birds with one stone), but the other one is supposed to be 2,000 words and about the effects on Ritalin in patients with Tourette's. WHY do I choose topics like that?

Oh yeah, I've got a Biology mock exam in the morning. I have spent about 30 seconds looking at my book, and then got distracted by my class/guildmate-friend and her chemistry homework.

Edit: Bleh, I really want to start smoking again. Apparently I'm gonna start getting an allowance of €50 a month in March, and going to Holland is reason enough to start smoking again, I mean, my three favourite tobacco/cigarette brands are from there and two of those are virtually impossible to get anywhere else (except in Berlin and Prague).

You guys and your talk of studying and exams! You are making me feel old....next year it will be 20 years since I started Univerity Smiley: eek

I spent the last 3-4 days at work, visiting my mum in hospital and playing Mass Effect 1 till all hours (4 hrs sleep/night hurts after a few days). Finished the game last night and am speed running through it again with a different character making different choices to see how different it makes Mass Effect 2 (which is already downloaded from Steam and waiting patiently for me)

Haven't been able to raid at all because of having to visit Mum every night after work :(

Luckily I don't have tests until sometime in July, but I just found out I might end up going to exams in the same week the Roskilde Festival is being held. I couldn't go last year because of work. If I can't come this year because of exams I might just /wrist and cry myself to sleep.

I'm in this thread, tracking down my karma camper. Smiley: sly

Oh, I've always wanted to go to Roskilde.

And I've skillfully "overslept" in order to avoid that stupid test about cell division. Yay! This also means I have slightly more time to make my coursework just so.

Don't feel bad - I'm 35 (I go 36 next month), and I just applied to four universities in Ontario to (finally) get my Bachelor's degree. The thought of graduating at forty does not make me feel warm and fuzzy. Now I wish I'd done it when I was younger, rather than going straight into the workforce.

Edit: 25?

Meh, same here, really.

I'll probably finish my education at 30. I'm 21 now. I took a 5 year gap, pretty much. Could've had that shiny degree in 2014.

Edit: Oh, okay. That makes more sense.

To be fair, my brother got his musical therapy degree with 37, I think? Granted, it's his second degree, but still. it's not like you're old or anything.
