I'm coming from ffXI and I going to be a nightelf but i dont know what to be a druid or hunter.I like the idea of changing into animals and being able to do a wide range of jobs.I also like the able to have combat pet and a normal pet at the same time. so would you please help me decide?

They are both enjoyable. The thing to keep in mind is that the druid can heal better then anyone except the preist, his damage spells are not as good as the mage's, but you have many options (including shapeshifting) realize that shape shifting to bear is at level 10 and cat form is level 20.

The hunter can tame beasts, which for the most part are +300 armor rating higher then the hunter. They can hold aggro for you (at a certain level) and it's great for you to solo by using your gun or bow at range against the target. You can tame pets at level 10.

I would say if you aren't planning on playing with friends all that much play a hunter. If you are playing with friends regularly, then the druid is great since he can fill in the roles you need in a pinch well.
