Any future predictions if we will suck or not? Im a huge fan of caster classes especially pet caster classes like the warlock. (EQ mage addict 3+ years) Our pets are great now but just like tons of other MMO's at later levels will the mobs take out our pets in 3 hits and we become the outcast soloer living off slow kills with **** equipment? Will we end up being group rejects? The same happened in EQ. Sony screwed everyone who is to say Blizzard wont.
Blizzard has hinted since the beginning that Warlocks will eventually get the ability to open a portal and gain access to some sort of realm through it. This is apparently a Warlock only ability, and so I'm guessing that Warlocks will always have a place in this game. After all, a lot of WoW history seems to revolve around demonic invasion, and we are the only class who can control them.

fear is going to b huge, its one of the best things we have going for us in pvp. wearing cloth only we get beat down quite quickly. but with fear and a couple quick dots ive killed people 6 lvls higher than me (granted that dont happen very much). i too was an eq addict wizzy 5 years.

i dont know but you have to think of the fact that we do get a doom guard at level 60. Granted it might need to be enslaved but from what i have been told the thing is a monster. but i know what you guys are saying. my worlock is level 25 and unless i us the voinwalker to do my bidding i get attcked instead of my pet and end up dieing. pluse i herd the highest chest armor we can get only has 76 armor
