How to always tame your pet, 1st tryFollow

#1 Dec 22 2004 at 1:24 PM Rating: Decent
This is a little trick I've come up with that has never let me down.

1.Get into tameing range.
2.Place a Freeze trap at your feet.
3.Shoot animal with Concussion Shoot.
4.Click tame pet.
5.Animal slowed while running up to you.
6.When he reaches you, he gets frozen for 10-15 sec.
7.By the time he gets unfozen hes already 2/3 of the way tamed.
8.Easy sailing from there on.

*note* remember to put on Aspect of the Monkey" for that 1/3 time he will be unfrozen.

Enjoy, hope this helps out some people that have needed the extra edge when Tameing.[b]How to always tame your pet, 1st try

Aye I have been doing this for awhile, though I wouldnt say its going to be automatic on the first try. I had a heck of a time taming my wolf at level 32. They have a stun attack that they love to use which would always break my tame. Took me about 18 tries to finally get it.

Maybe add a scorpid sting right after concussive shot? I find that helps.

Wonderful tip though, makes me wonder how i tamed some of them without it.

I haven't tried it yet, I'm usually solo when taming pets... but can you tame a pet while it is:
a) being smacked by someone else?
b) aggrod on someone else?

I always assumed (dunno why) you couldn't even hit it previous to taming, which is why I never thought of conc shot or sting... now I'm wondering under what conditions you can tame.

NICE!

That's so much better then what I'd been doing.

slgray the addition of scorpion sting give me a reason to even train in that. I passed that by completely as I'd rather do more damage over time, then a reduction in X stat for X time.

I'm going to switch to this style a.s.a.p.

Before I'd used the following technique which was effective but I had sometime to use a healing potion.

1. Beastlore
2. Stoneskin
3. Tame

Which was modified from

1. Stoneskin
2. Tame
3. How to god this works out.

anyone else try to tame nessie?
