I STILL CAN CRIT HIM FOR 2K AND DIE KNOWING I HIT FING HARD

That one made me LOL.

So, instead of everybody saying "Hunters suck! Kiting is for pussies! Mages are cowards! Rogues are wimps!", how about you offer some pragmatic solutions and strategies to deal with these classes? So far, I see a whole lot of QQing, and not a lot of (intellectual) pewpewing.

1) QFT....I dont see anyone QQing...if anything, i see people admiring the class they play
2) This post is for a) pumping eachother up, and letting people know there are still warriors out there that think the class is great, b) as stated earlier, feel free to post how to deal w/ classes/builds etc....

3) Hunters --> obviously the typical opener would be to charge the hunter, and hamtring him asap. If you can tell his pet will get to you first, i charge the pet to get some rage, hamstring it, then intercept the hunter (leapfrogging essentially). Same thing hamstring his in place and pound away. Watch for his traps, 90 % of hunters are noobs, place a trap and run straight through it and keep runnning forward....well, move a little the left or right, and avoid the trap (durrr). if he hits you w/ scatter shot and starts running, he will do one of 2 things...turn on the (aspect of cheetah? dont know hunter abilities), bust out your gun or bow, and shoot him to daze him, and catch up (since intercept is on CD). If he doesnt, keep chasing, and as soon as you are in range, pop int. shout on him, get close, and take this chance to bandage pending on your health, and before fear breaks, pop a hamstring and tear him a new hole.

With an arms spec, i find hunters easy meat. Just 3 shot the bastards.

4) Rogues --> lol...put on a shield, and get in def stance. If he manages to get the opener on you, hes gonna have a hard time keeping you stunlocked. Hit your trinket to break it if you want. if not wait for his little stunt to be over, rend him, hamstring, demo shout, thunderclap <-- hes gonna be useless after that. Bust out your 2 hander, and flatten his ***. If he vanishes, pop thunderclap or demo shout IMMEDIATELY (of course, if you were making sure he was constantly rended it would matter if you were late to get the demo/TC off) and continue to rape him

5) Mages --> With our new intercept buff coming, and our trinket dispelling polymorph.....charge him (you can usually get one hit off before he novas/blinks).
If he novas --> Use intercept and get a hit or two off before he blinks. Once he blinks, get in close asap, pop a swiftness pot, or free action pot (you do carry potions on you right?), get in close, hamstring and rape him before his CD's are up.

If he blinks, he is probably going to try to cast poly on you, so try to get in and pummel it. (dont use intercept yet, cuz then hell just nova you and GG) if you cant get close enough in time, use that trinket, and continue to chase him down. Again, use either a free action, or swiftness potion to close the gap. If he novas, use your intercept, and if his blink is still on CD, GG for the mage. If you are frozen in one spot, dont jsut sit there! SHOOT him with your gun/bow, use bombs if your an engineer etc..etc.. just dont stop hurting the ***** no matter what, he hardly has health, so it will help.

oh...and hope his coldsnap is on CD =) lol

These strats are w/ an arms spec, with some in fury...

Hunters - Get close and stay close but be aware. If you see them kneel straff to dead zone and circle them. Few seconds and you will see their trap on the ground. Just avoid it.

Target their pet and use intimidating shout, retarget the hunter and go to town. Only the main target fear/gouge will break on any dmg. The other fears (the one the hunter is in now) won't.

Keep hamstring on and intercept as needed. If you see them fient death immediately straff away and start circling again. They just laid another trap.

If they are BM specced and use beastial wrath, throw your shield on, hit defensive stance, and try to stay in his deadzone.

Trick-If your on the ball you can equip your shield and use spell reflection to be immune to his traps.

Mages - Pray.

This is the class we will always have the most trouble with. Few tips and tricks though.

DO NOT INTECEPT UNTIL AFTER THEY BLINK. If you get hit with FN and your trinket/escape artist is down then use intimidating shout. Both have 8 second durations so if your lucky and they don't trinket or WOTF out of it your back in there dealing it out.

Not much else you can do unless you want to keep a good stock of free action potions around just for mage encounters.

Rogues - you really shouldn't be having trouble with rogues.

Little insight, a rogue depends greatly on killing their target asap while they are still in the stunlock. They can't take much punishment so you have to use this to your advantage. If your trinket is on cooldown and you don't have any free action potions handy this does not mean for you to pull out all the stops and try to burn them down before they burn you down.

By doing that all you do is lower your defenses enuff for them to burn you down during their stunlock.

If you have no way to break their stunlock what do you do?

Solution? Outlast them. If you know its coming, i.e. you see them stealth up ahead of you. Switch to your tank gear. Itemrack is great for this as you can do it all with one click. (only works out of combat, hence the "know its coming" part)

If you are caught by surprise immediately equip your shield and try to get into defensive stance fast. Thunderclap, demoshout, disarm, shield block, everything you can do to lower their dps, do it.

Work em down. All that extra armor and blocking ability of your shield goes along way to ruining their day. If you made it into your tank gear you've really screwed them.

If you keep at it they will go down before you will unless you are highly outgeared or outplayed.
