Wimp.
Nice flame, and explanation. "Wimp." always adds something useful to the topic at hand. I believe you missed your bus stop,

You cannot tank any lvl 70 instance. Period. Go ahead, enjoy your style now, but what I'm telling you is that it is not possible in endgame content. It is not possible to have your pet tank Kara, or BM, or Arc or Grull's.
Might be able to tank Black Morass with some TLC, but a felguard is much more useful to tie up the adds there. Switch to the imp for the final boss. No problem.
The others? You will have to temper your DPS so much that you'll run out of hp before the mobs. Having 11k hp means you can take 2-3 hits instead of 1-2. Wee.
Still, there's no reason to spec and gear at 64 what you'd need a couple months into 70.
This makes absolutely no sense. "You will have to temper your DPS so much that you'll run out of hp before the mobs."
Mabe its just me, but I dont like to die before the mobs.
With destro its quite easy to burn down every single add before they even get to you, and ive seen an affliction lock dot/fear combo the adds to death. A hunter is the best class for add duty, hands down.

And why is that? news flash: Trash in Kara hits for 8k on cloth, you pull aggro you die, period. Geared for 11k hp gives you
no excuse to think you wear plate. I can picture you being the leather-wearing rogue that always pisses the tank off because he thinks he can tank the trash mobs. Again, this goes back to your playstyle. If you enjoy pulling aggro and dont care when you do pull it (obviously you dont care, 11k hp omg!), then keep doing it, annoy everyone in the raid. As I have said before, my playstyle is to do as much damage as possible without pulling aggro and putting as little strain on the healers as possible. When the mob is on the tank, our healers can play casual, hes not gonna get that much damage. Wanna make your healers heal your 11k hp, while you take 8k hits? I bet they love you.

out Damaged and out DPSd an affliction warlock and a destro lock last night =D
(Actually did more than everyone but 2 MM hunters in Kara - and I used my Imp!)
652+spell damage with FelArmor and the minion up, 12k health with just a Fort up. Still working on better gear.
Thank you I was never argueing against DM build, I was argueing against using a Felguard in any endgame content. Now you have seen first hand, the felguard is great for soloing, but as far as him tanking in Kara, its (unfortunately) just not viable.
Best of luck to you in Kara. /hate the Trash.
p.s. How far are yall in?

But no seriously, its different play styles, thats all. Some people like to last longer with slower dps, some people like to be the glass cannon with highest dps but low hp, its just tradeoffs, cant have both.
