Balance Druids . . I know your there.Follow

My fellow Druids,

I love my Balance Tree. I have been a Moonkin since re-speccing at lvl 55. my current spell damage bonus is +676 with MOTW. My goal is to reach +700. Balance Druids rely heavily on gear and their current spec.

here is my character Bio:

my current spec is 48/0/13.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I'm grinding slowly right now, but its constant. Little downtime. Probably will be this way until I get my feet under me. And that trinket looks very useful.

okay I have skinning 294 and tribal LW 249, as a moonkin lvl almost 44 will this pay off form me soon or should I switch to minning for the extra cash flow? Because now every time I use 16 thick leather to raise my skill once I feel like I am throwing money down the drain.

I'm a Resto druid, but I'm considering switching to Balance because I just hit 40, and need to get easy money for my mount, and Moonkin is good for killing silly instance elites. The only reason I haven't respeced yet is because OoC and Nature's Swiftness are amazing, and I like being able to heal as well as Shadow spec Priests, if not better. Also, I have an easy time tanking because you can get easy threat from healing.
But it's not just Balance druids that are in short supply. Resto-spec druids are rare too, but not so much so. It's because Feral spec is so easy, because you don't have to worry about mana as much, I guess.

TBH, tribal leatherworking is what I use on my druid currently. I like it though since I am at 365 LW it is getting expensive to make anything and it is harder to level than previous. You will get some very nice patterns that you can use that are very balance druid oriented. It will start to pay off more once you get into using the rugged leather patterns and if nothing else sell any leather you don't need or won't use on the AH. The prices are not too obscene on it but it will be some added cash flow compared to what might be gotten by selling the completed goods.

If you are having doubts on leather working as a whole then maybe it is not the profession for you. You will see more cash flow as a dual gatherer but then you will also have to find one of those wonderful crafting people for anything you need and unfortunately some of the really nice leather you can make is BoP. By the way the better moonkin leather does not come till you get past skill level 300. There are a few pieces that are nice before 300 but they are rather few at times.

I only have a lvl 18 druid, be he is completely balance. I play with 4 other friends, so we have our tank and priest taken care of. leaves me the ability to just nuke.

However on my rogue, I have grouped with a boomkin druid in a couple of instances. everytime he has been the main tank, and we have never had a problem. seems to hold aggro better than prot warriors. i couldn't steal aggro from him even when i was trying to. his main tactic was to just nuke every mob so that he held aggro through insane dps. very fun to group with.

Now that is a bit to far. I've seen a moonkin tank before and it worked. But a boomkin will never out tank a warrior.
