I tried to be a resto druid on a pvp server. I didn't much enjoy the experience, only made to lvl 36. I am a 70 raid healer on a pve server. I do have some suggestions for points I thought critical for pvp, additional comments welcome.

Balance tree - first point, at lvl 10, put in Nature's Grasp. Even if you don't plan to walk the balance tree, this will save your life more often than anything else

Resto tree - from lvl 11-15, put points in Furor. it isn't as meaningful at the level as it will be later, but it allows you get into the pvp survivability talent.
Nature's Focus - 16-20 - interrupt down. Your ability to heal is a huge advantage, but you need to get a spell to cast. :)

From lvl 21 on, when you have cat form, start walking which-ever of the three trees you prefer. There are pvp druids of all sorts so it isn't that you MUST be feral, it's just easier to level. What-ever you choose, you just need to be able to use ALL your skills, avoid the fights you know you can't win.

Hectaliza- you really don't need to be giving out advice if you haven't played the job, as you claim.

I could be wrong, but I think he was saying that he didn't make it on a pvp server. I think he insinuated that his 70 raid healer was a druid. In any case, he had reasonable suggestions.

Reasonable, but far from optimal.
MotW in a Feral build?
No Celestial Focus in a Balance build?

Meh. =/

As for the OP, check the Stickied post for helpful advices to give you a good start. Feral is a good leveling tree. Balance now is too, but maybe not as great. Resto is mostly end-game but you can use it to level up while grouping a lot.

there is alot of way to go when doing a druid build. let me try and brake it down for u.
Balance druid- are caster druids. But u won't reach the true potental of a balance druid until level 40 when u get moonken form. this spec is also good for solo questing. I myself is a balance druid believe its the way to go :P!!!
Fearl druid- r more dps and back up tanker but can also main tank when asked. Alot of people say that fearl spec is faster for leveling which i don't diagree but never had a change to try it.
Resto druid- is a healing druid. As a resto druid u can take the palace of a prist in any healing situation.

Druids a special class and u have to give some real thought when u pick a spec depending on how u like to play. like i said before there is many ways to go when specing a druid. u can even split the points between two trees if u fell that what u want to do.

Thanks i think I'm going either:

Moonkin/NS Build (37/0/24)

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=Mt...sxzZZxxcxcR

or

((Full Feral Build (0/50/11)

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=zZ...froxuioVx0z

For an ultimate Feral PVP build, consider adding Brutal Impact, Natural Shapeshifter, Nature's Focus, and Nature's Grasp at the expense of Naturalist, Thick Hide, and Feral Aggression. Brutal Impact will give you slightly longer stuns, Nature's Focus will allow you to heal while being beat on, and Nature's Grasp gives you an instant cast Entangling Roots on the go.))

I plan on one of these so please could I get some advice off those two?

Thanks a lot!

You did not link your first two builds properly so we can't see them.

As for the third build, a Balance/Feral build is not advised regardless of what you want in each tree. It's not impossible to play with one, but I'd strongly suggest Feral/Resto or Balance/Resto instead.

personally I'd rather put points into Imp Leader of the Pack and Omen of Clarity as both are incredibly good talents. For my feral druid I went with this build. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?00000000000000000000050323213232211533125105500001000000000000

I didn't really know what to do with my last four so i just popped them into Survival of the Fittest and Nurturing Instinct but it's worked pretty well for me.

Short answer: No, not really.

Long answer: There are many flaws like points spent in places that won't be a huge help and talents taken partially that render them useless.

Furor: With that talent it's 5/5 or nothing, period. Otherwise you're gimping yourself as this will be unreliable and will let you down when you most need it.

Imp MotW: 35% increase is very little, and it only shows at the highest ranks of MotW. Drop this and get 5/5 Furor instead.

Feral Aggression: That's 5 points sunk into a talent that will benefit you rather rarely. They could be better spent elsewhere. (IMO)

Thick Hide: I used to think this talent was good to take before BC but now with nicer talents to spend points in, you'll only want this if you intend to Main Tank some end-game instances. Otherwise the bonus from Bear and Dire Bear forms will suffice for 5-man tanking and the like.

Nurturing Instinct: This is only really useful in PvP where you won't be changing gear to heal in a pinch. Otherwise it could be used in the same fashion in an instance, but you won't make use of it often. If you're really healing, you'll have a healing set and thus very little Strength.

Survival of the Fittest: Mostly a tanking talent, but nice to avoid crits in PvP or even in PvE. A good talent overall, but not a priority.

Imp LotP: Will help you last a bit longer and save you a few shift->heal. It'll make you a bit more desirable in groups, too. In a 5-man instance with a decent group, Imp LotP and Vamp Embrace can actually generate enough healing for normal mobs. Only bosses will require some real healing.<

Primal Tenacity: Mostly a PvP talent. Won't make you nearly immune to Stuns and Fears but a resisted Fear will break the Lock's routine and usually give you the upper hand you need to kill him.

Naturalist: If you can, take this. 5/5 is an increase in damage of 10% which is very very good.

Omen of Clarity: Allows you to spam high-cost skills more often freely. It's a godsend for a Feral Druid.

My conclusion: Seems to me that, like so many newbish Druids it seems, you pumped all your points into the Feral tree thinking it's the thing to do since you're speccing that way. But a Druid is much more than that so weight every talent and look in the Resto tree to complement your Feral side.
