I'm a 45 holy paladin at the moment, currently I'm a 265 weaponsmith and can't decide on whether to go swordsmith or macesmith. Any ideas on what to go?
The popular choice seems to be mace for thunder/deep thunder

Thunder have 3.80 speed and Lionheart have 3.60, only 0.20 is not a big diference, too small dmg. Thunder have a chance to stun and it's very good for JoC. Lionheart have a +100 strenght chance and this is very good too.

So of the top 3 weaponsmithing weapons (Bloodmoon, Stormherald, and Lionheart Executioner) you guys are saying that it doesnt really matter which route you go? I'm currently and Axesmith 300/375 but was thinking of going Hammersmith... do any of these help you more in the end-game raids than the others? Also, should the one you pic be based on your talent build?

Im going hammersmith myself.
Having a big 2 handed hammer that gives +str,+agil and +stam on a weapon thats 3.8 speed and has a 4 second stun proc just apeals to me for some reason...

i would say macesmith because then when you hit level 60 you can get Sulfuras,Hand of Ragnaros alot easier.

The 3 kind of weapon are great.
The stun efect of Thunder/Deep Thunder/Stormherald don't will help very much in end-game cause a lot of elites and all boses are imune to stun efects. Is more usefull in PvP.
But to me, lionheart have a better look. (and have a chance to get more 100 strenght for 10 sec.)

What? Sword and Board paladins get no love? Why haven't any of the 1handers been talked about?

I myself am between sword and hammer, the swords give some decent stats which i'm normally a little deficient in (agi) but Dragonstrikes, chance at +200 haste rating stacking with reckoning makes me drools a bit.

Lol... sorry for not mentioning the one-handers. I'm Ret specced so I was just asking about the 2-handers.

Good point! Ok so Hammersmith for 2-handers is out for me... but why Lionheart over Bloodmoon? I'm liking the +crit from the axe.
