I love renew for slowing damage, being instant cast, and giving you time to cast that greater heal. I think I am doing pretty good with it doing 460 per tick.
How high have you been able to get it, and how did you do it?

Im also a big fan of renew and prayer of mending for that matter.
Fully buffed, 590 a tick, no pots.
My gear isnt that stellar
Although a bit better then yours, go run those 5 mans, chopchop! (slacker! :P)

Mine ticks for 608 completely unbuffed, 624 w/ my own spirit buff, and around 655-675 when i'm all buffed up for Karazhan. At the moment, i have 1 piece of loot from Karazhan (bracers, Bands of Indwelling), all the rest is from 5 mans, quest and reputation rewards. I always shake my head when a pally or shaman spends the mana to heal somebody that my renew is gonna take em back to full in about 3 ticks.

Thanks guys. It is really interesting to see the subtle differences in our talent choices. We were all within 1 point of each other on the total we chose to spend in disc vs holy.
The gear looks great, and I can see some goals to shoot for.

Ok unbuffed my renew heals for 300 about id say average, but with the trinkits healing beads and vengeance of the illdari, which i can use every 2 mins i can get upwards of 450 and i a have little or no plus healing to speak of, im holy but thats not the way i built my guy atm, well what im wondering here is if you are including trinkets like that in, the difference in my case is amazing for renews.. well just wondering.
Mine ticks for 635 with only the imp divine spirit buff, which I have (self-buffs don't count). My record is 652. That was with a LOT of +healing buffs.

In Holy with +1600 healing mine ticks unbuffed for 700.
