So I was in desolace quest-grinding when me and an Alliance Pally bumped into each other so it was a pretty even start for the both of us. Both of us were lvl 35:

I had my VW out, so I Sacrificed into Bubble and brought out my succy and immediately attempted to seduce/fear > dot, etc.....

But all & all she schooled me with her Bubble & Offensive spells. Not angry, I was kinda impressed at how well she fought. But my question is how would I fight a pally???

Thanks!

Paladins are simple.. just dot and kite them till they run out of MP. Your biggest mistake was saccing your void without actually needing the bubble. Seduce and fear share diminishing effects so it's wise to use only one or the other. Get the arathi basin pvp boots to help you kite.

Well when i was in Tanaris around level 44ish.. i ran into a level 45 pally. and i ended up beating her and then we ran into eachother later and she beat me.. I am an affliction warlock, so my biggest damage is Dots. So my advice for you. Fear whenever you can. and if you think fear is running out. re-fear. And Keep your dots on.

She did use here sheild and get back up to full Hp, i had to use my Healthstone and when i beat here i was down to about one fourth of my health or less.

Hope that helped.

I agree that the bigest mistake was using the bubble too early, and picking the wrong pet.......

We all have a favorite pets, but sometimes ya need to realy pick well. Pallies are casters, they depend on spells, and buffers, they depend on buffs, in this light only one pet should come to mind, Felhound.

You cannot eat the "Super sheild" but you can eat the magic only sheild with the felhound, as well as any blessings he may have.(now that i get thinking about it, you may not have a full complement of felhound skills, so ignore me till then.

Justno is quite right, fear kiting and keeping your distance seems to be one of the best strategies, just be prepared for them to use their super bubble to dispel your DoTs and then insta-heal to full health....

You basically need to outlast them, and this is easier done once you can leach your pets mana with Dark Pact. Let them waste their mana on bubbles and heals, and while they are healing, get more distance on them and/or try to bandage yourself up.

the fact is that you're to low level to have a good chance vs a pally yet. they get their best defensive and offensive ability at like level.10 or something stupid (the bubble), we get ours at 42 (deathcoil) also lower level it's harder to beat them down as the best tactics only work at max level (either bursting them to death or dotting to death with UA on them).
at your current level you're better off using a voidy >>> sac >>> voidy >>> sac tactic and just aim to outlast them.

To add a question I am wondering about.. on this subject vs pallys. When they bubble to dispel, will UA proc? I am 1 lvl away from 50, so I do not yet have UA, but it is supposed to do x amount of damage to the dispeller. When a pally bubbles, will that proc?

Sadly palladins just suck at this lvl, they are my biggest worry. But yes as stated above the puppy does make a world of difference, a wooooorld of difference. Trying ot dps the mto death just means they will heal faster, wit thier blessing ( like blessing of wisdom) they lats alot longer than you wantthem to. Paladins just suck to fight at this lvl , dot ru n away, arathi basi trinket does help alot btw with my gear if i wasi nyour shoes iwould have

1. curesed loudly
2. put VW on him CoA, Corruption, Siphon life
3. fear
4. immolate
5 all thre while running awya like a little girl
6. sac vw
7. fear
8. pull out fellhound and sic it on him
9 reapply all dots above except use curse of tongues instead
10. wait for him ot bubble so i can life tap twice and then bandage self
11. rinse and repeat
12. al lthe whle runing lie ka frightened school girl and waiting for night fall to proc
13. pray

btw,am a 38 afflic lock, they are beatable , it just sucks to fight them

pala is peace of cake....just make max dmg and when he puts bubble on and heals just run and kit him...then use fear after bubble expires and finish this noobs :)

1st things 1st throw curse of tongues on him immediatly. The only way ull beta him if ur destruction/demo is by dealing out MAX dmg befor he gets to heal which will be hard at ur lvl without deathcoil to give u 3 secs to throw something else at them. Affliction spec is Extremely easy throw Coexhaustion then juts dot them up and run around lol they will die so easily you won't even need fear.

If you have your vw out in the start, just sic it on the pally until you need the bubble. Don't do it in the beginning of the match because that's a waste. Just start running away and instant DoTing him up. Once you get all your spells on (use CoA, not CoTongues), fear him and put immolate on. Tap twice for mana and then drain life. If he gets to close (within 10 yards), just fear. Once he uses the bubble, he will either heal or try to get closer to you. Just do whatever to get back to full health/mana, and if you haven't used your vw keep it out, but if you bubbled get out felhunter. Once they finish they should be close to full health, so just repeat the process. Kiting paladins isn't hard at all, their highest range spell (or weapon for that matter) is 10 yards, and all warlock spells are 20-36 yards. If he becomes immune to fear, just keep running until you get some distance and leave combat. That will reset diminishing returns. If he is immune and close to you... good luck and hope you can fake him out (start running away and then randomly switch directions). Also, if damage isn't critical, use drain mana instead of drain life. Paladins are useless without mana, so every bit you drain is worth it.

Immediately COT - said before, but some people aren't emphasizing it. It REALLY helps.
