Shadow Weaving.Follow

I've skipped this talent for a while, and I'm 39 now. I'm going to pvp a bit at 39, but I don't know if it's worth using this in pvp, or even in pve when I wand quite a bit?

Thanks.

edited for spelling.

Hey Djemba,
Shadow Weaving is really good when you have other friends who can make use of it.
In PvP it's only ok as a lot of the time you will kill or be kiiled by your target befor you can make good use of it.

if you are going to do the Shadow Weaving thing then you will want to get Blackout r5 too.

The trick is that you will be going for a 'stun spam' and going for '5 Shadow Weaving counters' at the same time.
You can say that in PvP the value of Weaving depends on 'Blackout', 'Misery', 'Mental Agility' and if you play with friends.

This is why you can not say some thing like...
"Shadow Weaving PvP Grade: B"
as all talent values are relative to what other talents you have.

Wicked, thanks alot. What about in PvE, instances, grind etc? (I know I'm pigeonholed in to being a heal bot, but a man can hope, right? ;))

actually i get refused sometimes because i'm not shadow. Or i get to do holy dps. I did that yesterday, with resto shammy healing and i helped when needed.

Weaving is good in instances, but if you will be healing it will be hard to maintain. If you don't do dps in instances, is not worth it. Also, when solo it's not used at full capability, because when you got it to 15%, mob dies, or you wand.

Also, from ShWeaving, only locks and priests benefit, as no other classes have shadow damage.

shame about that
there will be some little benefit to the holy priests as a lot of them like to use 'Pain' while healing.

A must for end game raiding...you will maximize a warlocks DPS so immenseley, they will love you. My warlock buddies 4.5k shadow bolt crits became 6k in no time with his own shadow vulnerability on top of their shadow priests. Bosses will go down faster end game. If you ar ePvPing i dont think its necessary, but wheni was level 39 i did notice a bit of difference...and post 40, with shadowform..its pretty nice to see more dmg.

max out SW, it realy makes a difference...it took me 60g to figure that out. it stacks 5 times = 15% + shadow damage inflicted.....if you dont put in 5 points, it wont stack fast enough to really be useful.

Actually, for raiding or serious level 70 instancing, you can usually get away with 4/5, and some people claim even 3/5, since you'll be dumping spells fast enough over the whole fight. If you can, though, all 5 points is certainly nice :D
