I was just wondering what should i go for i am a orc hunter and i am thinking of learning guns. What is the differencdd between a bow and a gun?

Actually, that's true until the outlands. When you get Cenarion Expedition rep, you can buy better arrows for cheaper than the equivalent ammo for guns would cost.

I'm a Dwarf so I try to stick with guns because of the racial passive. Higher skill = higher crit chance. For an Orc though you want whatever has the most DPS. The engineer ammo is only ever slightly higher than the norm and you can buy cheap scopes in the AH. Engineering is good to take though, even if only for the goblin jumpers.

I don't understand why NEs stick with only bows, dwarfs with only guns, etc. I mean, come on. The 15 points you get, in the long run, aren't going to matter much . If everybody followed this, Troll Hunters would be using thrown weapons. Just go with the highest DPS weapon you can get, and **** everyone who limits themselves based on racials.

My best advice is to go with bows, just so you don't have the constant gun noise always going off in your ear, not to mention most groups prefer not hearing the sound as well! Other than that, no difference :) Happy shooting
you use way more ammo that you can reasonably craft and even if you did craft it, you see no savings. sell the metal/stone and buy your ammo and you still have money for repair bills left over.
