What's the BEST Thing U Ever Pickpocketed?Follow
I just started my rogue, and though it is fun to pickpocket a dude, what is the best that I can look forward to lootwise if I continue to bother using it?
I pickpocket to raise my lockpicking skill. Sometimes you need to pickpocket for mats, like with the pilferer's gloves, but otherwise, I dont bother unless in need the LP skillups. I only get trash and money from mobs that I pickpocket.
I like when I get blinding powder (actually, I have too much of that stuff now). But I have pickpocket gems before.

I remember getting star ruby's back in the day when they were needed for craftables. In BC if i pick pocket all the BE's on one continent of netherstorm I usually get 1 to 2 green quality gems like a blood garnet.
Just to be clear, you aren't going to get really great items from pick pocketing. You get potions, food, vendor trash, and poison regeants. Not swords and armor.
As for the best, I always like getting blinding powder. I use it a lot in PvP, and it's too over-priced on the AH.

i pick pocketed Van Cleef once and all i got was a lousy watermelon
blinding powder makes me always happy :)
I am running around with ~120 right now, its now too common and I PvP heavily...
I liked "Shark Bait" and "Shiny Dinglehopper".
I give A Gnome Effigy to friends somtimes. Oh! and "An Exotic Cookbook" makes a great XMAS gift.

The best I have gotten so far is a gold bar from one of the Burning Legion mobs in Desolace.
Here are a few reasons to bother with pickpocketing:
1)Money
At lower levels, mostly a few copper. The more you level up, the more you'll recieve. I once made over 2 gold pickpocketing the entire Burning Legion camp in the north east corner of Desolace (can't remember the village right now).
2)Lockboxes
Great for skilling up your lockpicking and you get additional items.
3)Reagants and Potions
You can get alot of reagants for your poison making and the blinding powder you receive is really good. I basically have had to only buy vials to make poisons and have never bought anything for blinding powder and I currently have 3 stacks in my bank and keep a stack on me at all times. Also, you can get alot of healing potions. Again, better potions the more you level.
Keep working at it and don't get discouraged at the little you receive. It gets better the more you level. Besides, this is what we do. We're thieves and killers. Have fun with it.

Best thing? Probably an antique vendor trash rifle that doesn't actually work, but sold for 1.2g. Some really good stuff in lockboxes too; I can also safely say I've gotten more aquamarines from pickpocketing and opening junkboxes than I've ever gotten from mining. The blinding and flash powder you get in boxes now also is a nice touch. It saves me trips back to the bank or shady dealers. :p I also tend to be a bit reckless when I know I have a potion in case of emergency, so I go through them fast. This helps cut down on the absurd AH prices. Can't wait until they implement whatever changes to flasks and elixirs and I can only hope that extends to potions.

I've gotten a lot of green quality JC gems pickpocketing high level mobs (68+) as well as a few green items. Though I am an alchemist, I do appreciate the super healing potions that drop commonly from pickpocketed mobs. And of course, it keeps me stocked with blinding powder.
I farmed scryer exhalted and money from my epic mount from humanoid mobs exclusively. The silver from pickpocketing helped a ton, and I have so many healing potions and stacks of blinding powder on alts it's not even funny... good times :)

I got an alchemy recepie off a lockbox from a pirate in Tanaris. Can't remember what it was off the top of my head at the moment but I did not have it previously (and I pride myself on having just about any recepie I can afford).
I showed it to the mage that was in my party:
me: "Lookie what I got [recepie]"
mage: "why didn't I get to roll on that..."
me: "I pickpocketed it...haha lol."

i actually pickpocketed a star ruby before i was was screaming like a lil girl lol then sold it for like 2g in ah so pickpocket everything you can mainly in instances thats where u can tons of stuff to sell and mats for poisons.

you can pickpocket mobs 65+ for about 10s everytime then kill the mob for another 10-20 which is some amazinlgy fast cash
