I Need Some Help :/Follow

Ok.

I'm a lvl 70 Rogue.
My Spec was Combat Fists.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?3050000000000000000000250552112050105023010515002000000000000000000
(I had the 2 fist weps from Arcatraz and Botanica.)
I REALLy liked that build. I did alot of dmg. And most of the time was on top of the DPS meter.
And i wasnt That bad in PvP.

But I got a epic dagger crafted for me. And decided to respec over to Combat Daggers.
After respec'in I realized I wasnt doing that much dmg anymore.
And didnt really like having to stand behind a target to backstab.

Maybe I did something wrong?
I would like a build that works VERY well in instances with daggers.
So maybe someone can link me a dagger build that works well in Instances as well as PvP?

We'll, i am not 70 yet but from my experience, Mutilate is great all around for PvE/PvP. A Combat Dagger build does a little more DPS but Mutilate holds up better in PvP.

I would suggest something like this-> http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhe0otgsizVoZyMco0h

It's pretty rough but it gives you the picture. The Serrated Blades should help on bosses and plate classes If you find yourself using dual Deadly Poisons a lot then moving some points around into Vile Poisons would help

I really don't understand why everyone makes a big deal out of Serrated Edges, 350 armor isn't that big of deal and since you are Sub-Mutilate, you will be using your CPs on SnD more than you will on Rupture. Those 3 points in Vile Poisons >>> Serrated Edges for damage.

What was your Combat Dagger build? Your DPS should be greater than Fists unless you tested on bosses that required movement. As a Rogue you really should be behind the mob anyways regardless of spec, helps with missing hits.

What Epic Dag did you have crafted?

Just curious.. I'm nearing 300 BS and have only seen one craftable dagger (Dirge) that's anything more than trash.

The Dirge is a good offhand as far as I remember.

You may not be setup correctly.

Yeah, the Dirge is great but most certainly and offhand dagger.

Not hard to get a decent Mainhand. You can get the PvP dagger (the one with the higher damage range), Ced's Carver is on the AH and fairly cheap. The last boss in Arc drops one on par with those. And a little bit better is the dagger that drops off Murmur.

But maybe you are beyond that. Just grab a dagger with a high damage range and a slow speed (1.8-2.0 generally).

Combat dagger build is better than Mutilate as far as DPS goes but lacks in PvP due mainly to low CP generation.

To play combat daggers correctly you want to have Imp. BS and be using that mainly as your attack. I usually open up with a garotte and then backstab and start SnD. I usually can get 4 more bs in before I hit SnD again. Then a 5 CP rupture and start SnD again at 2 CP.

If your guild has enough 70s, the Emerald Ripper isn't that hard to get. Moroes has a very steep learning curve, and having a sub-par group is going to make it very hard, but all in all, he's not that bad.

Yes, I had someone craft me the Dirge.
Very nice offhander.
I have the Blue Dagger from the last boss in Arc.
Same exact stats as the Ceds Carver.

I tried Combat Daggers and then took it to PvP.
I wasnt hitting very hard.

So im now doing a hemo build with a sword i get from Mech and Dirge in my Offhand.
I can beat alot of casters but its hard on plate wears.

I'm gonna hold on to this spec and see how well it works in instances and decide if i want to ditch it for mutilate.

Im actually working towards getting the Emerald Ripper.
Just gotta get in a decent guild that can run Karazhan and know what they are doing.

Combat daggers is best for optimizing instance/raid DPS. It is horrible for PvP.

But yes, if you don't like standing behind things then going with Swords is a good idea.
