Hi,
Firstly is it possible to tame a pet of a higher level than yourself?
Secondly i'm after the best weapon for the 19 PVP bracket, i've got some green axes of agility or cresent staff from WC quest reward, is there anything better?

First question. No, you cannot tame a pet higher level than you. Equal level or lower.
Second question. Well, that all depends.. Are you dumping a bunch of gold into a Twink? Or are you just looking for some good weapons for level 19, planning to PvP for a bit before continuing to level? If twinking, well I'm not sure, but if you're just looking for good gear, I would suggest dual Cruel Barb, a drop from Deadmines. http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=5191
The attack power bonus will benefit ranged combat as well.

My original plan was to use that for one and scouts daggers but hunters don't get dual wield till lv 20?

Oh man, that totally slipped my mind...
Yeah, no Dual Wield until level 20. Either way Cruel Barb is still a solid and free weapon for level 19, it just may take a little time to get your hands on one, depending on your situation.

Well i've almost got the mats for +25 agility on 2H so i think taking that into account losing 10 agil getting some sort of staff, 2H axe or sword would be better?
Doesn't matter. Whatever you can get that has better stats on it.

also, get a BoE leg armor, Clefthoof leg armor (+3-sta, +10agi) greatly makes up for any slightly less stats your legpiece has vs leggings of the fang.

For a good twink staff, get Twisted Chanter's Staff, which adds 10 Intellect, and 6 Stamina. It's a world drop though, so it can get pretty expensive. I suggest getting it, then a +agility enchant to it. A good twink pet is a boar, since it has boar charge.
taskmaster's ax - deadmines - good sta - good raptor damage.
Twisted CHanter's staff - good sta, good int for mana.
the staff from silverwing sent/outrunners bg rewards (costs marks and honor poitns) - pretty good, more sta than TC staff, less int.
