Aggro lockFollow

You just gotta love the hunter, don't you? Of all of the classes that I've played so far, it seems like the hunter gives you the greatest chance for using finesse and being really effective given all of their techniques. So, I've been working on the basics as of late (kiting, pulling, etc.). However, I've got a friend who's been playing for a lot longer than I have and has told me that he's seen hunters put mobs into an aggro lock where the mob just keeps running back and forth between the hunter and pet as aggro bounces from one to the other, all the while, it's slowly getting killed.

That just sounds amazing to me, and I've been trying to figure it out to no avail. Can anyone give some pointers on this technique? Does it require a certain build?

I would think you could accomplish this if you used Cower on your pet and Disengage. I'm not sure what the gain would be though, unless it was maybe in an instance and you were trying to keep the overall threat level low so the tank could pick the mob off either you or your pet. Doesn't seem to me like a viable solution though. Just my $.02.

I do it by letting the mob engage me in melee then wingclip, kite back, then charge in back in. If the timeing is right the poor MOB gets bouced between me and my pet with neither of us taking much damage.
