Level 54 paladin: looking for holy/protection gearFollow

I am in need of some advice. I recently started playing my paladin again. He is mainly retribution specced with 10 points in holy at the moment. I was considering respeccing to a holy/protection or protection/holy build.

I am looking for advice on what gear around level 54 would be best for this type of setup. I see a nice caster shield and sword drop in Maraudon from Tinkerer Gizlock. What are other BoP drops from instances that would eb worthwhile to a build like this. Also, are there any BoE items that would be beneficial that could be bought at the AH?

Would it be best for a paladin trying to level and at the same time be able to heal/offtank in an instance to re-roll as holy tree as main (with protection tree as support) or roll main as protection (with some holy talents to back it up)? Any sample builds that you paladins are currently using around this level feel free to post, so that I can get an idea as what your using.

I previously was all holy tree, I believe I was as far as Holy Shock, so I am not completely new to the tree.
