to do what I've done you'll give up atleast 1k health and most folks don't liek that idea. to see a list of my gear though, use the link to the armory and it's all there.

Self buffed my Hunter is at exactly 2k RAP. This in addition to having a well rounded stat spread.
How? Run the dungeons and get good quest rewards. Put good + atk power gems in ur gear and get 'chants. I still have a couple greens and some gear I need to upgrade so 2k is a good pre-raid benchmark IMO (MM btw).

Cheers!

at 60 i have 1050 which is pretty good given the fact that i don't have any end raid epics, marshal items, etc.

have around 950 at 60 without any epics, or marshal gear, without self buffing. think my stats are 3800 health / 3100 mana. trying to get full GM gear before doing anything else on him aside from pharming mageweave/essences of air to sell for my druid.

Playstyle factors in strongly with DPS. Effective use of your pet and a well-executed shot routine makes an impressive difference. If you can consistently outdamage fellow hunters while maintaining your support roles, then you're doing something right ;)

I had around 950 at 60, and I have around 1400 at 70 without any instance gear yet.

If you're BM you may pull more DPS, because you get AP bonuses from Marks/Survival but with BM you're buffing your pet, not yourself.

Ok, Sulldoon is the (IMHO) most rounded you can get with stats, I have good attack power, but not so heavy as KD, Im not that insane, with GotW, Fort, and Commanding shout+ food buff I have reached 11k health :P

no, i mean static dps ;)
i have 225ish autoshot dps.
looking at other hunters from around the same lvl, they have higher attack power but way lower dps =S
i had a difference of nearly 100(!) dps with a hunter of lvl 63...
although he wasnt well geared.. that is either very very bad on his side, or i am doing something right...
(he also had only 11% crit and 3.5k mana/5k hp where i have 17% crit, 5.5k mana and 6k hp.)

edit: Armory gives an error for my page =S and i am curntly lvl 67.

RAP is not everything to hunters these days. With extended fights, and bosses that hit like f*cking trucks, you need more than just high RAP.

Kazmo (just using as an example, no harm meant) has some impressive RAP. However, his HP and MP are, dare I say, pathetic. I have nearly 2k more of each than he, and only slightly less RAP. He may put out some large numbers early on, but I'll outlast him every fight, every time, and have a higher damage output total.

Further more, he's sacrificed crit chance. I have over 2% more than he.

Now, I'm not saying he's a bad hunter, probably far from it, but in either PvP or PvE, the lack of other stats is going to hurt him in the long run.

Just something to keep in mind.
