He just uses the opportunity to heal himself, so it's totally useless in that instance... imagine how silly it would be for him to "ban" that?

now imagine instead of u healing, u stunned him and beat him down.

only I heal when bubbled, not no stoopid sha-woman.

Well, a paladin without healing/bubble is very boring. Compare a warlock without pet/fear. Some hits, warlock down.

I believe that every ability in one's ******** whether it is a class skill or an item brought into battle, is completely legitimate in a duel. However, since many people have enormously varying opinions on what should and should not be duel-worthy, my friends follow a simple routine with determining who is more skilled between two players.

We almost always duel two-out-of-three. For those unfamiliar with the term, that means we duel three times, and whoever wins two of those three is the better of the two.

While this obviously isn't a perfect system, it does help prevent people crying over Lay on Hands; If the Paladin has to use it early on, chances are he will not win the next two duels, and the true victor will be revealed.

In my personal opinion, things like Lay on Hands and potions (Along with a few other class skills and item abilities) were made more as 'last-second saves', and I try to use them that way. Very rarely is a duel so important that I would blow my chances of a free full-heal for the next hour on winning; but, if someone believes a single duel is that important, let them use Lay on Hands. You'll get the better of them in the next two battles, for sure =)

u'd get pwnt by a prot/holy spec ><

Right! And how do you know that when you don't even show me your so called "Prot/Holy spec"? First you don't even show us the "Spec", wich may mean that you are jealous or something like that. So, the only way you can persuade me to change my opinion is to show me the so called "spec tree", Okay?

And paladins can heal themself whenewer in the fight, using holy light of flash of light inside a shield should only be done if you're out of bandages or the factthatyou need to patch yourself up really fast and give the enemy some hits before they can even touch you. Remeber that. And don't forget to make some fake heals sometime.

And by the way people. It would be highly apricitated if someone of you could test my spec exsperiment, Its still on the prototype stage because I haven't reached level 70 yet. And I think you know how it will work. Toughnes + damage in the same pacage I say, Recuires this list of atributes to work.

The lower on the list the atributes comes, the more useless they will get

1. Stamina, lots of armor and damage decreasing buffs, The longer you can stand up the better
2. Intelect and spell damage
3. Strenght
4. Agility
5. Spirit

The Spirit/agility can be a tricky one I guess. Do you want to regenate your Mana fast to be ready to deliver some more steel on the enemy or do you want to have a higher crit percente and some exstra armor and increased chance to dodge? Who know.

Ah yes. Sorry (or am I really sorry?) for sounding rough by the way. It was just made to counter the things you said to me. Sometimes you need to sound rough to show the rest of the people that you can stand up and fight.

[]**CRITICAL UPDATE**[/] The Talent tree I made have just been updated by a friend of mine. It will now look like this:

No Sanc Aura, what the hell?
Aura Mastery is meh in a PvP "i pwn you all" build. Take it out and put it in Sanc.

As for the rest it's still a meh build, IMO, because I don't have much love for Retro Pallies. I do also believe a Prot/Holy build would win the fight, maybe because I've killed many Retro Pallies on my Prot Pally, who knows? Always depends on player's skills anyway so this kind of debate is rather futile.

SoR + Reckoning procs will go through Pally armor anyway and so would SoComm and any holy damage. Holy builds will have Holy Shock and with Divine Favor it would melt a good part of your face. (Followed by regular Holy Shocks every 15s)

Most builds will have Spiritual Focus so it doesn't really give you an edge in a Pally vs Pally fight. However, Holy/Prot builds will have reduced cooldown for Hammer of Justice and secondary bubble. Of course, Repentance would make up for HoJ reduced cooldown.

But yeah, all in all, futile debate. Pros here, cons there. In the end players' skills will matter.

Wel. Mr/Mrs (BAH! gentlemanhood aside). Let us say that that you rush out from silverwing stronghold in WSG in order to help the flag carrier. The carrier dies becuase the devotion aura didn't reach him soon enought because you wanted to use a aura that is generaly made for PvE/raids and is generaly not used at all, I guess, Got no proof, Just guessing and hope I'm quite right.

Well seriously. Don't forget the fact that the balance in this tree I made a outmost delicate. Neraly nothing of the stuff can be changed if you don't want to disturb something inportant. Let us say it a Lone. It will work as support in groups as long as someone draw the enemies atention. But it will also work when you fight alone becuase of the "70% anti slow down on heals when hit" (Casters may be a problem becuase you can't charge them as the warriors can, They do not have heals and blessings though Of course). Really. No paladin without respect for his class forgets to heal someone when he/she get the chance. In fact. A well set heal on one player plus some serious Retribution violence (Police violence hehehe....Not funny eh?). In fact. It may turn a definate lose into a great victory! And "I Kick you all in the ***" (pwn is not a word dammit!) does not work actually. Its more like "I make you waste all your mana, energy, and I grind down your health to 50%, Then I hit, kick and judgement you so hard in the *** and the #¤#¤¤ that you will never ever stand upright again". Thats how we work.
Really. Try to burst kill some hostile player and you will soon kiss the dirt I say! Ah yes. I also made this litle retribution tree.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=qVxuZZVf0trchVIst

Right. I don't know if its bad or not. Just something I and my friend made up.
It may not be total retribution, It may have some of the lousiest talents in the tree (Well, At least you're a liiiitle bit faster than most of the people you may chase, Don't try to chase feral druids in cat form, they are simply too fast for you.)and it may not have the 5% exstra parry chance (5%? I rather get some exsra damage). That was...phew....everything I wanted to say...phew, give me some seconds to catch breath will ya?

calling a pally a cheater because he's using heal .. it's lame !!! .. same thing with the bubble ..so if pally's are "cheaters" couse they use those things in duels .. what about mages with blink or frost armour ? or locks with fear ? hunters with traps ? :D hehe .. long story short ! it's not cheating :x

There is a reason hunters have pets. They are slightly more than half as good without a fully developed pet. You should have healed/bubbled/whatever, and im not saying you wouldn't have been murdered if he used his pet, but still thats something in his ******** and he should be able to use it.
That being said, you would have been destroyed and wasted many less peoples' time.

I see taking away his pet as a handicap to make it worth fighting somebody 10 levels above you, not as something hunters have that "isn't fair". When I play chess with my nieces, I let them remove one of my pieces before the game starts so the match will actually be interesting - both of us have a chance to win, even though my chance is still higher (okay, my nieces are only 10 and 8).

If he was your level, yeah, if you want him to take a handicap you should too, unless he's just that much better than you are. It's already enough of a handicap to be 10 levels down though - you should use whatever you have to win, he's going to resist a lot of it anyway.

Slightly different, but what do you think about Lay on Hands in a PvP encounter?

I find I get rocked by pretty much any warlock, so I used it mercilessly last night during a battle in order to beat one.

Paladins not healing in duels are either:
- retarded paladins or
- paladins that don't need to heal :-)

If somebody says you shouldnt heal in a duel, theyshould l2p, healing is a part of your class.

No skill/talent in any class should be restricted @ any given time. Everything goes. Even potions I think, b/c they are available to everyone. Everyone has there strengths and weakness. Even if the person you are dueling/fighting, is x amount of lvl higher then you there should be no handy caps (sp?), the point of duel someone great then you is to test your ability to fight, and that it. I am a Pally, and most often then not will and can beat anyone 2-4 lvls higher then me any given class…. Except mage still cant figure it out.

I have even beat Pally that are 2-4 lvl ahead of me, but then there are ppl that play there toon very well and end up beating me. Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents.

Back on topic?

Disadvantages:
Hunter = No Pet
Paladin = 11 lvls lower than Hunter

I'd say either of you can use anything you want after that. If you were the same lvl, he could have used his pet. You both had one pretty large inconvenience there. Regardless, he fails at life for losing to you.

gratz on the pwn
