subject says it all.

why? well ill tell ya:

1.) it dispels warrior stances/paladin auras, putting warriors in a null stance (no access to abilities until stance is changed, and rage is lost) and forces paladins to use a GCD to re-apply aura.

2.) it dispels the beast within and beastial wrath.

3.) it removes ALL buffs and debuffs on a target. even death wish and forbearance.

4.) it removes THE EFFECT OF GEAR! so if youve got 12k hp buffed in gear, youll have significantly less after cyclone hits you.

5.) it removes any access to pet abilities/skills, such as spirit bond and soul link, as well as master demonologist and demonic knowledge (aka turn that monster felguard into a small puppy.

6.) it borks pet AI.

....but it doesnt do this with just ONE cast. it takes a kind of chain-casting on multiple targets in order to get this effect...well, most of the time. you see, cyclone is a little weird like that, and no one knows quite why it functions the way it does. but for the most part, its been pretty successfully reproduced, as long as your second target is cycloned before the first targets cyclone wears off.

so use it while you can my brethren. before it gets "fixed" (and it will be, for balance purposes, but have fun with it while you still can!).

I'm sure it will be fixed, even though we are practically useless in 5v5 and 3v3.

We need something to make us useful in 5v5 teams, if they left this, and more people realized it, this might work as intended.

So what exactly happens? I cyclone the first opponent, then immediately cycle another; which one gets the debuffs? The first opponent, the second, or both?

the first one does. you see, since you can only cyclone one target at a time, cycloning a second target removes cyclone, but it seems that in the process of cyclone being removed off the first, all positive and negative effects are removed, including those granted from worn gear.

Hey guys, recently dinged 70 and went to the Arena in Nagrand to play with Cyclone on a couple of my friends.

I'd target one of them, cyclone, then tab to the second and cyclone. However, during all of our tests their buffs etc were never touched. Is this something that only shows up in the arena?

We tried cycloning the first, then the second and waiting till cyclone faded.
We tried cycloning the first, then the second, then the first again and nothing.
We tried brining in a third person and tab cycloning through all three.
We tried doing it immediately and waiting some before doing it.

Are us druids still seeing this behavior or has it been fixed? Is there more to it that I don't understand?

Also, is it common knowledge that the diminishing returns on cyclone/root have a cool down before becoming affective again? After three cyclones they would become immune for roughly 10 seconds and then cyclone would hit for the full 6 seconds again. (I mean, this makes sense to me but I wasn't aware... or am I mistaken?)

Thanks all!

supposedly the aura/stance part was hotfixed, but there have been reports of it happening spontaneously as i described. some people postulate its a timing thing (you need to do it with X seconds left on the original cyclone) while others think its just a glitch dependant on a number of factors in pvp.

its still there, just harder to reproduce now.
