First of all, I'm a mutilate rogue, so SS is mainly used when I don't have 5 CPs on a mob after a CS. So I get shiv, and since I can only reach numbers 1-5 on my keyboard, I decided to switch it with shiv. Now, just wondering, but is this immediatley(sp) a bad idea to anyone? Like I said, SS for me is mostly CP gen.

No. If your Mutilate you should have decently slow daggers, unless it makes a tick difference (where Shiv saves you an energy tick) you shouldn't be using it.

mehhh if your like 41-20-0.. shiv on a weapon with instant poison is good grinder
the DW spec makes your oh hit pretty good, and the 170 damage bonus from instant > low 100's from ss
for lower energy it might not be too bad an idea
id say run some numbers and figure what works best

I use shiv over SS now. Mainly because shiv lands crippling poison instantly, giving you a chance to kite till gouge is up.
