Sword and dagger?Follow

#1 Apr 10 2007 at 1:08 PM Rating: Decent
I have seean a few rouges that have a sword in the main-hand and a dagger in the off-hand. Why do they have it? They cant use backstab or ambush, the main reason that you use daggers. Why dont they just have 2 swords insted?

I'm guessing this would be in the lower levels, probably 20-30 range, that have their poisons already but do not have Duel Wield Specialization. The reason for that being that we get a 50% damage reduction in our off-hand weapons, so most of you damage(pre-DW spec) is coming from instant attacks. You would want a fast off-hand weapon i.e. daggers to make your poisons proc more often. Thats mostly spec-based though. If he was a lvl 40 or above, he's got problems.

Our weapons should be based 100% off of our spec. I really couldn't tell you why a 60 had them like that, lol. Maybe someone else could give some insight on something I'm not picking up on.

Hemo Builds, Weapon swap builds.

Quite honestly, the only builds that is specific about your off hand weapon are Combat Swords/Daggers/Maces and Mutilate. For the others you really don't have to worry about the type of off hand you are using.
