Actually, it doesn't. A full fury build will give you +10% AP in berserker stance.

This is not true, the amount of rage you get depends on the amount of damage you do, thus: fast weapon = more times less rage, slow weapon = less times more rage, weapons with equal DPS will net you just as much rage in the end.
Rogues want a fast off hand for other reasons, being: a) more hits mean more chance to apply poison to the target (fixed chance to apply on hit, not dependent of weapon speed) and b) for full combat builds, more off hand crits in the same timespan than a slow off hand would give you, thus netting you more energy from Combat Potency.
