Mutilate Armory profiles?Follow

#1 Apr 12 2007 at 7:17 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering if some people would be kind enough to link me their armory profiles (level 70, preferably Assassination), I would much appreciate it. I just like to browse what other rogues have at my level and see how my gear compares, what i can do to get better stuff, etc. Also, i would appreciate if you told me how much raiding you do to get the gear, as I've not yet started (Just now getting keyed). I promise not to do anything creepy or stalkerlike.

Thanks in adavance

Look up Ginsu on Zuluhed. Armory won't load on my computer right now (don't know why), so I can't link to it.

i'm a pretty good player, makes up for my now subpar gear. i was trying an experimental build, i know combat is better dps, but i like this one for now. hope this helps:

Here's my armory:

As you can see I didnt go combat-mutilate, but went 7 into subtlety because I need improved sap (and mutilate gives me that possibility of getting it without wasting much dmg, unlike combat daggers in my eyes). In Karazhan I usually am on top of the dmglist, tho sometimes another rogue beats me with flasks/pots, but can't be ***** really. I love doing heroic instances and this spec works great for me. If the next patch comes I'll probably go combat-mutilate because I wont need improved sap then.

I raid about once or twice a week because our guild does have quite a few rogues, but it works great :)

why did you take imp backstab sappie? don't you always use mutilate?
#6 Apr 13 2007 at 7:37 AM Rating: Decent
That discussion is in several different threads. The main reason ppl take imp backstab is mutilate does pretty crap damage if you cannot poison the target, making your 41-point talent fairly crappy. I'm not sure if I'll have it or not when I respec Muti.

Because, like the above poster said, mutilate doesnt do a lot of dmg against unpoisonable targets. And due to the fact that poison doesnt always proc on first contact. Thus I prefer having some improved backstab against those creatures or to start with when I'm full energy (especially when opening from stealth isnt possible or usefull). And I dont feel the other talents at that lvl are that improtant, I cant be bothered missing murder (only occasional dmg, not to undeads and elementals for example) or ruthlessness (2 mutilates give you 5 cp's most of the time anyway) very much, but I prefer being able to adapt to every situation and being able to do dmg against every mob. If I want to go and kill elementals for some money I like to be able to do some dmg as well. Not really a necisity (sp?) but nice to have for me. Might leave it out in a other build but don't know yet, it's useful sometimes.

not saying it's bad, just didn't understand. ya i guess i can see how backstab could be useful in a muti build, for the most part my target is always poisoned though by the time i try b/c i put 5/5 improved poisons. i generally open ambush if it's a clothie, or cs if it's anything higher. if ambush crits i think it's more efficient than CS. but backstab, i'm not so sure if it's better unless it's a target that cannot be poisoned at all, as you mentioned. even if muti does lower base damage, it adds more cp than backstab and thus generates damage from evisc. i'm not sure, it is a big issue. anyway, i was just curious.

See sig

- No imp BS in my build right now... but I'll probably have to add it or switch to combat daggers for SSC anyway :/

It is useful when you are grinding for Primal mats, which comes from those elemental that immume to your poison.

Check my sig for my character, feel free to look him up.

Build will change with patch, but for now, it keeps me at the top of the DPS charts (me and a combat-spec alchemy rogue are 1/2) and absolutely mad combo point generation like any muti build does.

Just started raiding twice a week in Kara, cleared halfway last go round, but since it reset last night, hopefully there will be more loots in the future.

May all your drops be epic.

Heh, I think you forgot to actually put it in your sig (you don't even have one, or it's disabled).

Edit: Forgot to link to link to my profile (finally). Excuse the ****** gear (my bracers make me die a little every time I look at them), but my guild isn't terribly active. Trying to change that, but some people just aren't as motivated as I am.

yeah imp. backstab is very usefull on farming for motes wich many alchemist need for primal might transmute. thats my gold maker at the moment besides selling mana pots in AH. & usefull on curator too since hes immune to poisons.

i dont really PVP that much so my build is centered on raiding & farming lol. now if only Prince Malchezaar drops my Malchazeen dagger i wud be a happy rogue. im still thinking on wat build i want when the new patch comes live. i might go back to combat daggers but i must admit mutilate is much more fun than combat.

Haven't started raiding yet, or done that many instances.
