got a couple cool things ...
the new insignia is very cool
the new charge/intercept is damn awesome
spell reflect not on GCD, cool

but WHYYYY nerf enrage/deathwish and fluury :((((((((((((((( ARGH !

Warriors
- "Charge", "Intercept" and "Intervene" now suppress all Slowing
effects while charging the target.
- "Commanding Shout": This ability now increases your max health, but
keeps your percentage health constant.
- "Death Wish" and "Enrage" effects no longer stack.
- "Devastate": This talent will now strike with both weapons when dual-wielding.
- "Execute": When used with "Sweeping Strikes", ranks 6 and 7 of this
ability will no longer cause full damage to secondary targets who are
not wounded.
- "Heroic Strike": The rank 10 tooltip now includes specific
values for the bonus damage against dazed targets.
- "Improved Revenge": Reduced the delay on the stun landing from a
successful "Revenge".
- "Insignia of the Alliance/Horde" and "Medallion of the
Alliance/Horde" now removes "Immobilizing", "Stun" and "Polymorph"
effects and no longer remove "Slowing" effects.
- "Shield Slam": Rank 3 of this ability no longer gets its cost reduced
twice by the "Focused Rage" talent (Protection).
- "Spell Reflection" no longer has a global cooldown.
- "Victory Rush": The tooltip has been adjusted to calculate the damage
it deals correctly, 45% of Attack Power, not 35%.
- "Flurry", Fury Talent, now increases attack speed by 5/10/15/20/25%,
reduced from 10/15/20/25/30.

it's the 5% effect... the top 5% pvp warriors with their "best gear in the game" were overpowered and needed fixed.... soooo they threw the other 95% a couple bones.

Arms: Untounched.
Fury: Nerfed hard. Grats on having TWO TALENTS THAT ARE ALMOST RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER NOT STACK. And that Flurry nerf was totally warrented.
Protection: Buffed amazingly. Devalate has some serious DPS potential. Revenge now does _400-500_ damage before armor.

Sigh. I was so close to crafting my Mooncleaver too and now I might be speccing Prot DPS. (WTF?)

the only part of this that doesnt make much sense is the DW/enrage thing- mind you the devestate boost is kinda nice so i dont constantly respec between raid/grindage. im really going to miss DW/enrage executes

phew....While I feel for my fury brothers, I am an arms warrior and what a relief. I was scared they were going to move deathwish further down the fury tree so arms guys cant get it anymore. All in all, not TOO bad for arms or prot.

Whoa...What rank gives you that much dmg?

I'm wondering if Blizzard realized it was Friday the 13th and wanted to see what they could do to scare Warriors away from PvP again.

Won't stop me from doing it, but at least now I know I won't have enough burst damage to take out anything that heals, being Fury specced.

I was suprised to see the Devistate notes on dual-wield. Are there any prot warriors in the house that dual wield?

I'm having difficulty imagining a situation, even solo questing, where I would pass up the mitigation, shield slam/bash that comes with my shield.

Educate me please? I just started back in with my warrior and this looks interesting.

They seem like pvp changes. Flurry shouldn't have gotten a percentage nerf - but a lower return on slower weapons, like: 5/10/15/20/25 on 2-handers, 10/15/20/25/30 on 1-handers.

I dual wield and I'm prot. Given I was fury before I was prot and I have a **** load of crit and hit in my dps gear. Can't wait for devastate change to see how my dps goes after that.

OT question: Whats a good shield slam number? I've been getting 500ish on normal and a bit over 1k on crit. (in my tank gear, haven't tested it with my dps gear with shield on)

50-50, I guess.

I'll be able to click out of sheep every once in a while; that's nice.

But when a Hunter shoots me before I can charge - or when his wingclip lands and my Hamstring is dodged... it's gonna be harder to kill them. Given that hunters way outnumber mages in my battlegroup... ugh.

As to this heavy-handed nerfing cuz some top level abs w/ killer gear = imba... sigh. They did it recently to druid bear form, and it really hurt my feral druid a lot. Now they've tried to ammend that by amping up bear-form's mangle damage 15%. So, maybe they'll come around and at least semi-fix the nerf part of this patch. I just wish they'd get it right the first time. It's not like they aren't making the money to hire good people and expect them to think and do it right - WoW's net worth is well over a billion - depending on how you calc net worth from earnings, maybe several billion.

Most prot warriors, when not tanking, will dual wield. Yes, you get massive mitigation from tanking gear, and can get nice shield slam hits and even the rare crit. However, farming in tanking gear is painfully slow.

Get some DPS gear, grab two 1h weapons, and go to town. You should have +10% damage on both your weapons from 1h spec, and your spammable instant attack requires using a 1h. Yes, you'll take more damage, but the faster kills will net you more cash, and xp if you still need it, in the long run.

I'm just sad that this now means my Gorehowl is pretty much perma-bagged. I used to dust it off on multiple-mob pulls when I'm not the MT, but with the devestate changes, I'll get more DPS out of blues.

New Spell Reflect animation.

Need to go find something to stab myself in the face with now.

Ty for the responses on dual-wield. Upgrading my gear here as I go should allow me to try some dual wielding.

I'm kind of thankful how blizz did the crafting. Rep & BOP recipes forced me to dust off the warrior again and I'm kind of enjoying it.

The death wish/enrage nerf sucks. But i like the medallion/insignia change. Now i'll be able to actually fight mages.

the only thing that pisses me off is that most warriors are forced to go to prot now. Thats ******* stupid cuz i love my arms spec and i dont want to switch but i might just have to if they ( and they will ) keep buffing the prot spec...

Regarding Devastate:

Hate to disapoint you but if you check the official patch notes there is nothing mentioned about any change for devastate.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html

So ... the improvement for prot warriors seems basically to (only) be the improved damage for Revenge.

Hmm well if fury got nerfed so hard then i guess im SOL !!! Even though i dont once recall actually poping DW and enrage at the same time ( i dont know y i never did) so maybe im not screwed so much if i still did well in pvp. On the other hand i say NO to the flurry decrease i mean thats were the fun starts, u crit once, then again, then again, the whole time your flurry hasnt stopped its 30% onslaught :)
#19 Apr 23 2007 at 11:43 PM Rating: Decent
ahh i remember the good old days, 40% flurry ......... /cry

and enrage was 30%(i think)? either way both have been nerfed to crap, might as well just eliminate em

warriors are "too powerful"

not locks? no. "wars are overpowered"

class that self rezzes, can heal 2k health, regen 2k+ mana whenever the feel like it(depending on +dmg) fear till their eyes bleed, and have pets??

sorry to bring locks into it but jeez

/end sarcasm
