What do YOU think ?Follow

I have a 21 hunter, and my first pet ever is a cat named Theron .
I don't want to give him up ...
But I want a wolf and a bear .
Also, I want Humar, the black lion .
What do I do ?

I don't want any "Well what do you want?" or "It all depends on blah blah blah" .
Also, please no "Get a boar!" or any other animal for that matter .
I want a wolf, a bear, and a cat .
I want to know, what you would do if you were me .

No offense, but I hate these kinds of threads, it's like asking how should I live my life. Granted this is only a game BUT that is what it is like. It IS what you want and it all depends on what you want. I know your thread did say you didn't want that response, but really, that's waht you need to hear. If I was you I would... well, figure it out yourself, I'm not you =P.

Now get a BOAR and go to Petopia. OINK!

You can level up two pets as you play. They may each be a couple of levels behind you, but hunters and their pets are strong enough that I’ve never noticed the level difference and I’ve leveled two pets on four 60 plus hunters. What I do is play with one pet at my side until it reaches my level. Then I switch it out with my other pet. When it reaches my level I switch again.

You can “own” up to three pets. But while you are leveling you will need to keep one stable slot empty for learning new pet skills.

My suggestion is to figure out exactly which pets you want. If the skin you want is only available as a low level beast you may want to level that one as one of your first two. If one of the skins you want is available at 60 plus you may want to wait and tame that pet once you hit 70. That way you won’t have far to level it up.

Take a look at Petopia (http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/) to see all the pet skins.

This is true. I heard, this was awhile back so it might not be true anymore, that Blizzard was going to make it so we can just "shortly" own a pet so we can keep three pets while still only learning new skills. I just think more stable slots would be nice =P.

Btw, Calabar, I've been meaning to ask you this. Do regular post start as defualt, scholar post start at decent, sage post start at good, and guru post and admin post start as excellent?

I read a blue post stating something to the effect that Blizzard was looking into that instead of giving us more stable slots. I’ve not read anything official since then, but hopefully they are still working on it. I’d naturally prefer more stable slots, but being able to use all three stable slots is better than nothing.

To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what post scores are linked to when first posted. Mine all start out as excellent, but I don’t know if one can have a score of excellent while one is, for example, a sage. I got my guru title back when I was making my EQ posts on these boards. Ahh, the memories… *smiles*

I've been to the petopia site, I've got it favorited .
I KNOW what pets I want, I just want one more than I can actually have .

The thing is, I don't really prefer Theron's skin, it's not one of my favorites .
I just want to keep him because I've grown so attatched to him, he was my first ever pet and I wanted to take him to 70 with me .
But then I checked out petopia, and saw all the other choices, I saw Humar .
And I want Humar ...bad .
It's basically between giving up Theron, a wolf, or a bear .
The wolf I want is only two levels below me right now, so now is the time to choose .

It was more like ...counciling that I was seeking .[lolz]
I'm just trying to get through a very emotion stage,*tear* and I wanted support and advice from other hunters .

Make another hunter then.

Look, I don't wanna dump on you, but when you ask for help - and someone asks you to clarify the help you want ... don't you get it? We need better and clearer info to help you. What you're saying is like going to a doctor with a general complaint and getting upset when he asks you to clarify your symptoms (btw, if you actually do this in RL, please stop - help your doctor help you - it's the wise thing to do!).

This is something we all face. Two stable slots. Period. Finito. As far as I know there has never been even a hint from a "blue" over on the O boards about an expansion of stable slots (I've been wrong - instead of King B losing his Cobra Reflexes, as I predicted, CR is now becoming trainable!).

So look: /hugs /flowers /BigHappyFaceBalloon. Now get overyourself, get back to Azeroth, and shoot things!

i would run around in panic untill i hit a wall.
after that, i'd catch a wolf, and a carrion bird.
but it all depends on what you want yourself after all.

Sigh ...
Alright, I realize that I completely suck at clarifying what it is I want .
This thread wasn't really about that though, it's not about how I'm going to play, it was just a tough decision I'm making, and like I said, I wanted "emotional support", for lack of better words .

I don't know how else to make this clear ...
So I'll give up on this one, thanks for your help though .
[and I mean that sincerely]

Well, it's good you know we're trying to help. I know what your feeling, right now I am deciding between a cat (the one with the lynx skin which looks very cool =P), a windserpent (one from Blade's Edge Mountains, which also look cool (to me)), a boar (EPL ones, since Iponema started the crusade =P), and a wolf (red wolf, also cool skinned).

But the point is, only you can decide, of course you can take opinions, but it would be that much better for yourself to make a decision based on what YOU WANT.
