I've got BS on my hunter (320) and Enchanting on my warrior (273). Looking at the way Blizzard screwed us making all the master weapons BOP I'm thinking about swapping BS over to my warrior.
Question is are the weapons really worth the work I would need to do or will I be fine with instance drop swords?

the BS weapons are pretty much better than any weapon before serpentshrine cavern
and thats just the level 1 weapon, they can be upgrade twice too !
in other words blacksmithing weapons are the some of the best weapons available right now, cept maybe for arena weapons, but those are pvp oriented (if u into that instead ofcourse )

Having the same "problem" with BS on a hunter (who would have thought that hunter mail armor was a leather thing) and a warrior enchanting.
I will NOT change professions tho. Leveling enchanting was way too time consuming and expensive. Same deal with BS, which I guess I might as well replace with jewelcrafting so I can keep mining.
I dont like seeing how the professions now seem geared towards making yourself a cool item (or set) - ONCE - rather than actually making money thru selling stuff you crafted.
Drops, quest rewards, and rep items are just as good IMO, especially if you consider how relatively easy they are to get. IIRC the patch notes said something about the mats required for the epics having been increased even more... yet another reason not to bother.

there are actually alot of things in BS that u can craft to make money
the ragesteel set, felsteel set, the felsteel weapons
all can be crafted by any blacksmith no matter if armor or weapon smith
and all sell pretty well
