Hey I'm a 65 Rogue with a 41/3/12 build with initiative I've been reading around in the forums about the stunlocking sequence CS>Mutilate>KS>Mutilate>....so forth. I just wanted to know how you guys pull off that sequence without letting the enemy move at all. I practiced on PvE mobs and there is a split second where the mob can turn around and stuff. I also have the add-on for rogues that helps you time your attacks so that you get a tick of energy at the beginning. (EnergyWatch) Also is this assuming that the first mutilate crits giving you 5 CP for that 6 sec KS? or will this work regardless? I want to practice doing it correctly for PvP stuff so that my target can't move AT ALL.
What i typically do is wait for right time, then CS>Mutilate>wait for 45+ energy >then gouge (this is incase my mutilate doesn't crit or initiative doesn't work)>wait for 60+ energy (I always do this) then do KS>mutilate>mutilate...
when i do that second mutilate i pretty much have no energy. And if i am fighting someone in PvP that is still alive after all that i just use blind and start it over.
Potential gaps where enemies can move is when i try to gouge or KS after first mutilate since i don't quite have 60+ energy, and after that 2nd mutilate after KS.
If i do KS too early after first mutilate i notice that i barely get the 60 energy needed for another mutilate and after i do that i have no energy and have to resort to blind to continue.
from a fellow mutilate rogue to another, any tips where i can close the gaps and create a perfect stunlock? Much appreciated
(yes i do have relentless stirkes) =)
