I'm 45 atm.. and I remember waaaayy back in the day on my old toon, that the Phantom Blade was THE sword to have around this level.

Currently I'm Vanquisher in the MH, and Omen in the OH. Is the Proc + the extra ceiling dmg on the Phantom Blade worth replacing the +24AP of the slightly faster Vanquisher?

And if so, is the Vanquisher suitable for OH to replace the Omen? (losing all the +stats and faster attack speed)

Yeah I woulda dumped the Omen, put Vanqs in OH and the use Phantom Blade MH (of course).

Sweet.. that's what I was hoping and leaning towards.

Now I just have to wait for the "Breath of Airs" that are for an unknown reason ridiculously rare on my server to show up on AH. =D

Make friends with a level 70 rogue who is willing to take you through inner mara to the princess to complete the quest for the thrash blade. I just did this for a rogue around your level about a week ago... pretty damn easy to be honest... In any case, the phantom blade is very nice for a MH sword, and if that's your only option phantom MH and vanq OH is a good choice. I believe that's what I did for 1 level until I got the thrash blade lol... In any case, vanq or omen will both make half decent OHs.
