totem questsFollow

Hey,
I was wondering, I did the call of fire quest but used the sapta in the wrong location. Now I cannot get my fire totem, because the sapta is no longer in my inventory. Do I have to abandon my quest and start everything from the beginning or is there an easier way to do this? And just to verify, though several people have told me...you can only get totems through your shaman quests? Thanks for your help
