Hey everyone my hunter is just PVPing right now but pretty soon I'm going to start leveling him, and I was wondering if you should give me a good marksmanship spec. I tried looking in the other posts as well as the sticky, but I think the sticky is out of date because the talent tiers seem to be moved around...so try to flame too much.

Thanks.

If you really want to go MM spec for leveling purposes I would suggest you do it with a partner, as it is a little easier. BM Spec is probably the easiest and most efficient way to level because you reduce downtime. I recently wrote a guide for a friend of mine who wanted to level up using MM spec though. This is what I gave her:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/hunter/talents.html?5020000000000000000005505201205010053105100300000000000000000000

It should be noted this will only get you to level 60, beyond that is up to you. Also, you may or may not want "Hawk Eye" in the very beginning, you may want to wait until you get Silencing Shot, this is up to you. I find silencing shot to be very useful on a pvp server and the sooner you get it the better off you are. But you should never neglect your range either, being able to hit some one from 41 yards away is great, it just takes that much extra time to actually get up to you.

Imp Conc. Shot is at your leisure as well. You may wish to invest into Imp. Hunter's Mark, or something else, this is all about personal preference.

Talent Point Allocation:
Levels 10-12 - Invest 3 points into Hawk Eye (Survival Talent Tree)
Levels 13-17 - Invest 5 points into Lethal Shots (Marksman Talent Tree)
Levels 18-22 - Invest 5 points into Efficiency (Marksman Talent Tree)

Level 23 - Invest 1 point into Aimed Shot (MM Tree)

Levels 24-25 - Invest 2 points into Rapid Killing (MM Tree)
Levels 26-27 - Invest 2 points into Go For The Throat (MM Tree)
Levels 28-32 - Invest 5 points into Mortal Shots (MM Tree)

Level 33 - Invest 1 point into Scatter Shot (MM Tree)

Levels 34-37 - Invest 4 points into Improved Concussion Shot or Improved Hunter's Mark (MM Tree)
Levels 38-42 - Invest 5 points into Ranged Weapon Specialization (MM Tree)

Level 43 - Invest 1 point into Trueshot Aura (MM Tree)

Levels 44-46 - Invest 3 points into Careful Aim (MM Tree)

Level 47 - Invest 1 point into Improved Concussion Shot or Improved Hunter's Mark (MM Tree)

Levels 48-52 - Invest 5 points into Master Marksman (MM Tree)

Level 53 - Invest 1 point into Silencing Shot (MM tree)

Levels 54-58 - Invest 5 points into Improved Aspect of the Hawk OR Endurance Training (Beast Mastery Tree)
Levels 59-60 Invest 2 points into Focused Fire (Beast Mastery Tree)

The current Grind to 70 I'm using this build:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/hunter/talents.html?0520300052000000000000555201205010053105100300000000000000000000

I invested into Imp. Hunter's Mark for instances and my pet. As you can see I invested more into the Beast Mastery tree to help the pet tank a little more, and so far it has helped quite a bit. I also tend to level a lot with a partner so it makes it a little easier.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses. I was also thinking about BM spec, but being a demo lock I thought i would try something new, but I do plan to solo more often than not. I think i'm going to respec to BM though, as long as mobs drop faster than being a lock, that was my main reason for wanting MM.
