Greetings...

Tried finding an answer to this, but cant seem to be able to :D

When taming a new pet today,I noticed that right after taming it had -40 training points.
Now,at loyalty 2,training points has risen to 0. o.O

This ofc means I cant teach it any abilities at all (excluding the "free" ones ofc.) before loyalty lvl 3,and even then I cant afford to train any of the lvl 40 skills...

So,my question is...is this the way its supposed to be?
Do I have to wait for lvl 6 before I can give my pet the "good stuff" ?

Or is thsi a bug that everyone knows about and has learned to live with?

Experienced hunters feel free to chime in :D

It's normal. Your pet has some skill already and the points are automatically docked.

Let's say for example, bite 3 is 15TP. Slappy the Spider is a tameable 43 rare spawn with Bite 3. You decide to tame Slappy. He will already have Bite 3 on his bar, and you will be -15TP.

Yes - it's because your pet came pre-trained with some skills.

You can always untrain and retrain your pet if you want to.

And that is the reason why loyalty 6 pets stick around for so long.....I played with a ravager for 2 levels and it still hadn't gotten up to loyalty 6 yet...now I have my cat back out in the action, because the ravager could just never hold onto the aggro....
