First and foremost heres my armory

Ok anyways im combat swords specced and im wondering somthing about emerald dagger. It dropped for me and im wondering if itll be better in the OH then my Latros shift sword because of the sword proc?

Also wondering for my build isnt ap most important? But how much crit and hit should I shoot for?

Please if you're gonna flame me dont post I got eaten alive on the official wow forums

i read it and I dont understand. It basically aays we dont need more then 10.20 or whatever hit rating for 73 mobs

You misread it then. What it says is that w/ combat swords, (DW spec included) that you don't need more than +8% hit.

I've ready alot of other places to to try to shoot for 250 total overall hit which would far far succeed +8%

8% is mandatory if you're a raider. After 8% you're increasing the hit rate of your white attacks only (iirc) and should be upping your crit (especially as it's harder to come by in BC).

Edit: I way over-simplified this, luckily other more knowledgeable people are posting in a thread about 12 down from this one :p

Latro's is better than the ripper in the offhand. Not because of the sword spec procs (though they do contribute), but because of the speed which is important for combat potency.

As for hit rating, I already outlined this in another post (linked several times here). I didn't give any general numbers, but I'll do so here. Shoot for 308 with precision and 2/2 WE... and you won't miss auto attacks on bosses. In reality, shoot for 200 minimum I guess... It's kinda hard to just "suggest" numbers without knowing what gear you have avaliable to you. I'd also say that you'd be safe to stop socketing things with AP and start putting hit/crit/and hit+agi gems in all your stuff. These stats just scale better than AP which you get in gobs during raids.

Edit: get the wastewalker chest if you can... that 35 hit rating 2 piece bonus is very nice (and you already have the shouders).

Im also combat swords i have been a long time and i just started raiding kara. Here"s what I"ve noticed I have no opener really they all resist stuns that im aware of and it just sucks. I recently got the Exalted dagger from Consortium cant recall name atm so what i did was made a swap key to open with ambush then switch to swords and start SnD. I still dont really like it I think im gonna go combat daggers but banking the Vindicators Brand and Latros sword is halting my respec. I also looked at a few specs of rogues using combat dagger and noticed a few of them dont have Imp backstab is there and reason why id think that would be important to get

yeah I've been tyring for the wastewalker tunic for awhile now and it just WONT DROP for me

Um... yeah if you see anyone that says they are combat daggers and doesn't have imp BS maxed please laugh at them. However, remember that 41/20 (mutilate), is not combat daggers... some will have imp BS... some won't... heck I go back and fourth. In any case, if you're using BS to be your primary damage attack and source of CP... and you don't have imp BS... you probably haven't been playing this game too long lol...
