For a hunter, raiding isn’t so different from a 5-man group. Instances that need raids also may have tougher single targets, or more often times where you need to fight several together. In these cases, the tank and healers are important..but as you can see from that statement, again, that is not different from a 5-man.
There are some things you might like from the old lvl 60 instances, such as Blackhand’s Breadth (or something like that) which gave a 2% crit. If you see groups for that, join them. Otherwise, the reputation needed for faction recipes and such have pretty much been made obsolete by the new recipes and gear in Outlands. Blizzard made a great expansion, but like many mmorpgs before, making that expansion made some of their old content pretty useless or undesireable. Why try to do a 20 or 40-man raid in the level 60-dungeons when you can go to Outlands and your beginning quests reward you with good gear already?
I recommend continuing on and if you see, once in awhile, through the trade channel that someone is asking for an instance group in those old-world dungeons, join them if you want, to see those instances.
