well heres the list...

Lorekeeper's Ring
Caretaker's Cape
Lorekeeper's Staff

it looks like you have no trinkets yet, so maybe that would be a good place to start

Insignia of the Alliance
can you get this one at level 19? if you can it's a nice thing to have hotkeyed. :)

This is where you can buy most of it,
Illiyana Moonblaze Map

yeah you can. just 4k honor at 19 is ******* gay to get especially as a healer.
#4 Apr 21 2007 at 1:50 AM Rating: Decent
owwww.. I did not see that 4k!
thanks mr Claus

ok my bad, don't start with the trinket.

Honor Points Cost
95 Lorekeeper's Ring
95 Caretaker's Cape
630 Lorekeeper's Staff

maybe start with the 'Lorekeeper's Ring', that way you can drop your 'braided copper ring'.

o, and one more thing, you can easily buy a Medium Armor Kit at the AH for your pants. That way you don't lose much when you do find the enchantment you really want.

A good healer should get near the top in hks - think about it, you're following a group (or in a bad pug, the best dps/fc) around, healing and bubbling everybody worthwhile in sight. Because you're healing them, they're getting more kills than they otherwise would. Exceptions do happen - in one match against a group with a ton of smart twink rogues, my life expectancy was about 10s after I rezzed - but they are decently rare.

If you don't believe me, check out my 19 priest, Leyladin @ Sentinels. I'm over a third of the way towards my battle standard (22k honor) now. I don't have a gold-rich BC 70 pimp-daddy, so there are still a few improvements I could make, but overall I'm pretty satisfied.

Back to the original topic:

If you're serious about twinking, here are the items to watch the AH for. They're not too uncommon on my server (and I was patient for the best prices), so I got them relatively cheaply, totalling probably 100g. If you're planning to stay at 19 for a week or two and then move on, it's not worth the effort.

the Staff of Westfall is nice, but you may want
Staff of the Blessed Seer or
Twisted Chanter's Staff
instead

for armor:
Magefist Gloves
Keller's Girdle
Darkweave Breeches
don't equip the Breeches until you also get a Silver Spellthread (+46 healing and +15 stam) to go on them. (you have to have a friendly 60 put the spellthread on them in their inventory, then mail/trade them back - impossible if you've soulbound them first)

Also, unless you find yourself whacking people with your staff very often, I'd switch the weapon enchant to +int or +spirit. +int tends to be preferred in pvp because by the time you get to the end of your mana pool, you're lucky to still be alive. The healing buff things in the WSG huts (one alliance-side, one horde-side in front of the graveyards) also refill mana, so they're easy refills if you live that long.

For the boots, stam is good, but minor speed increase makes it easier to run away/keep up with a flag carrier who has it - your choice.

If you're very very serious about twinking, level fishing to 150, get lures, and do the Sranglethorn Vale fishing tournament for the fishing hat (+15 stam) and fishing boots (ditto). They only take a lot of time (you catch rare-drop fish and turn them in for them) and a higher-level buddy to babysit you. They can also take BC 35+ enchants, so get Boar's Speed (+9 stam, minor run speed increase) on the boots. There's also the absurdly hard-to-get arena trinket (+dodge), but I wouldn't bother.
Note that if you haven't been to STV yet, it will entail some exploration xp, so be careful not to level on the way. You'll die a lot, unless you swim from westfall (slower, but safer).

You can also get a higher level friend to do the libram quests for you for decent head/glove 'enchants', but that's going above and beyond the call of duty.

Lastly, if you decide to reroll with a paitent higher-level friend, and good xp management, you have no life. Um, I mean, you can get better shoulders (from a Wailing Caverns quest) and a better wand (from the naga instance in ashenvale quest), and an awesome ring (Seal of Wrynn) - see [link=null]http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/?#character-sheet.xml?r=Sentinels&n=Bebetta[/link] . She's a mage, but ... yeah.

edited for grammar. damn that grammar

PS: also, don't forget the Sentinel's Medallion from the same pvp vendor as the Lorekeeper's stuff - the agi isn't terribly useful, but it is +2stam (20 health) that you wouldn't have otherwise, and if you stick around a while you'll have Marks to spare.

Silver Spellthread is BoE, so it can be traded. Buy one from someone and put it on the pats yourself. Only problem is that "Requires Level 60". So forget about it.

Also.. you might want to watch the horde side also...
Get Crescent Staff.

I'm sorry, I'll try to clarify.

The Silver Spellthread itself is BoE.
The Darkweave Breeches are BoE (assuming you haven't already put them on and soulbound them).
You can give both to a level 60+ you trust, they can apply the kit in their inventory, then give the now twinked (but still BoE) item back to you.
Then you presumably put them on, soulbind them, and happily heal away.

This whole rigmarole is necessary because you cannot apply it like an enchant through the "Do Not Trade" part of the Trade window.

are you sure you can wear it if you put silver spellthread on it? I really think that you must be level 60+ to be able to wear an item with spellthread applied.

Or you suggest it's only the "use" part that applies to level? So a level 60 can use the item to enchant pants and a level 19 can't?
#10 Apr 23 2007 at 6:13 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, I'm very sure. It works exactly like the Clefthide/Cobrahide leg armors. You can't apply it, but you CAN wear the products*.
*Assuming that Blizzard doesn't change things down the road. I've heard a rumor or two that the fishing hat is getting nerfed.

here's my profile - by no means a super-twink or anything of the sort, but good enough for now:

Leyladin @ Sentinels server, if you're one of those people whose computers don't follow Armory links correctly.

Compyro is correct. I have a level 29 twink Priest with the spellthread on.
