Currently Lvl 65...only 10% to 66 so tonight I will ding.

I have tried a demon build and just couldnt do it. I love the fact that I can generally lose a small amount of life while keeping my mana pool full. Anyone have any suggestions on adapting playstyle to either demon or destruction builds. I love affliction and the fact that my VW can tank without pulling the mob till the very end. I am not really wanting to change just thinking of trying some other builds once I hit 70.

Thanks,

once u hit 70 i recommend mainly destruction, but for the last 4 levels ttry this build http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?0501220512205105010000000000000000000000000505000510230310000000

When u crit u will draw aggro, but u order should be send in VW, Corruption, CoA, Immolate, Siphon Life, SB then wand until he is almost dead then use shadowburn and if u crit on either SB or shadowburn the target will be dead, if not he will probably be dead ne way.........damn my mistake just seen my build has no CoE which is perfect for this build, if u draw aggro from criting with something just place this on and walk away until he dies from all the dots :) Then use dark pact twice and u r sorted since u end each fight on full health and full mana. What an easy life

I usually pull with CoA, sic felguard, corr, immo (optional), SB, then... um wait its dead. On some tougher ones I use shadowburn because its instacast.
That is for 68-71 nonelites. Anything under that is CoA to pull closer (I am lazy to run after my loot) and wand it to death.

When I team with my mage friend I use curse of elements instead of CoA, immo and incinerate instead of SB..... if the mob stays alive long enough for me to cast it what is very rare.

And btw I hardly ever manage to draw aggro from my felguard.

yeah my advice above was for afflic build. Obvioulsy with demon spec u can pull them then charge them with the felguard.

Kind-of lost on this thread (not thinking very straight at the moment rough night yesterday) but im going to put my thoughts to use for you. If your looking for a decent build to get you up those last for levels I must reccomend demonology, served me very well as i leveled from 60-70 in 3 weekends (btw i was far from being a hardcore warlock on the release date of the burning crusade so i had no epic gear helping me through it was all down to the spec)

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0500000000000000000002352030133250103531351000000000000000000000

Thats the set-up i was using.
Should make those last 4 levels a breeze. My attack went like this FG charge, CoA, Corruption, Immo, Life-Tap, Drain Life, Health Funnel. Most mobs long dead by then others just throw on drain soul or wand them down various playstyle on various mobs i just found every sittuation simple with this build even soloing elite mobs for group quests was easy. Even a few three man quests were doable with patience.

Hope that helps you choose a build on the last few levels just one last piece of advice. After being level 70 for a while on my lock quests began to get less available and the time for grinding lots of gold for epic flyer came (made it very hard for myself by spending 1000's on gems and alts lol). Anyways i think ive found the perfect 70 build if all you want to do is dungeons/raids/grind primal fire in elemental platau, this is the way to go

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0502222512230105512012350030033000000000000000000000000000000000

Haha just after realising a mis-hap in my build this is even better. My first dungeon after re-speccing to above build started off slow with mage and rogue far ahead of me in damage meters but it didnt take me long to master this spec and the damage metre just before last boss showed me just how great my warlock had become I had past out the damage of the rogue and narowed the distance between me and the mage by over 100,000 and was even closer after the boss.

I was no.1 on DPS no.2 on healing lol and i had become the most health and mana efficient player i had ever seen haha. Nearly every fight ended with me on full health and mana (health due to my own work not healer). Also this made for handy piece of help just before harbringer skyriss i was able to create a new soul well for the group fast enough for us all to restack on hs and drink and eat., making for one of the easier times ive been in a group to kill him.

Well hope all that made sense and helped out.

Oh yes one more thing with that affliction spec and imp out its possible to farm fire elementals all day long in elemental platau at a fast pace and without ever needing a break.

Schuchinco's guide to becoming a stinking rich warlock :)

1) Get Flying Mount (normal)
2)Get to level 70 re-spec to the affliction build in my last post.
3) Fly to the fire elementals in elemental platau
4) Summon Imp and Stick on fel Armour, wait till full hp and mana
5) Kill lots of fire elementals all day by one of these methods;

1) (a)Pull one at max range with unstable affliction followed by siphon life then CoA then Corruption(curses must be cast immediatly after eachother for fear to go off without recieving damage) (b)now cast fear then life tap and dark pact and then drain fire elementals life. Fire elemental is now a gonner throw on drain soul or wand him down if you wish.

2) Starts as in part 1.a then instead of going onto 1.b pull another mob with siphon life followed by CoA and Corruption then HoT them both Life Tap and Drain life 2nd mob to death. 1st mob is killed after 2nd with a fear and drain life.

3) For the warlock who likes to abuse his power. Pull 1st mob with 1.a, pull second mob with 1.a pull third mob with 1.a, HoT them all drain life and/or drain soul the third pull till dead. 1st and 2nd mob should be on their way now fear first mob and despose of 2nd by draining its life till it reaches you then wand away the small bit of life left. Now the first bob is left use him and you imp to regenerate you warlock (dark pact and drain life/death coil)

You do this for a day you get lots of motes of fire, (elemental fragemnts and Primidical Essence get vendored 2g30 a stack and drop every kill), you get some greens luckier you are the better they get vendored 5-8g at least usually. Also these elementals have very slight chance of dropping some of the better epics to sell in this game. But the motes of fire are the main concern i can usually get lucky on my server and farm 100 motes in bout an hour and a half at quite times then sell them easy for 230g hmmmm that means and epic flyer in about 36 hours give or take.
Try it out and happy hunting.

P.S pick up some decent gear before abusing these elementals they dont like squishees exploiting them for money and will beat you bad if you pull them in groups while dressed in green :)

I am killing not only fire but water, air and earth elementals with my demo spec just fine too. And I dont have any special gear, Outlands quest greenies mixed with few blues.
If you pull bit too many there is Banish you know...

Killing anything ALL DAY would drive me crazy, its simply boring.

Besides, Elemental Plateu is totally overcamped and if there are more than 2 people on you have to wait for spawns if you want certain type of motes.

There are other places with no worse droprate and lower lvl mobs.
But alltogether farming motes if far from fun.
I rather do few chain quests I left behind and cash from 10-20 g from each in like 10-15 minutes. Some of them get so easy once you reach 70.
