As of now, I'm a miner and an enchanter (just quit BS to becoem enchat). I know most would say skinning an LW but 1st off, I'm sick of it cause thats what my 70 druid is, and 2nd - i made the stuff and sold it, rarely ever used the stuff I wore. Should i stick with enchanting? go back to BS? or possibley something different all together?

As well, Im a combat rogue and would LOVE to know the pros and cons of specializing with daggers or specializing with swords.

well enchanting is expensive at first. You'll have to d/e the items you get and dont use instead of auctioning them. But when you get to the better mats like shards and the better enchants like the glowy weps

Then you'll be making bundles. Some glowing weapon enchants sell for 200g on some servers.

and the mats sell for a lot.

I suggest having a good friend or even better a great guild who will help you out.

or your other charecter can go to places with good item drops just around or above your level [a level 30 enchanter cannot d/e level 70 items; it would be twink godhood]. instances with good

What you've got their is the most profitable combo to be had, on my server at least. Store up your ores and stones until you can sell full stacks. If you think a green+ will sell, auction it. If it doesn't, Disenchant and sell the results. The amount you'll make outweighs how much you'll spend on decent gear and other mats.

I had LW & skinning up until 70, and usually had a few things I had made equipped, as well as some sideline profit to be made from getting someone else to DE the stuff I made as well as selling it.

But I quit that at 70. Why? The 300+ LWing just didn't, for the most part, seem worth it. Sure, the riding crop and clefthoof/cobrahide leg armours make it more than worthwhile if you're using them yourself, but the prices to sell them were not really worth the time spent farming the mats or even AHing them. And the epic leg armours are no real improvement over the first set to keep my interest. And the elemental set you can make at 375? Bah.

So I'm now a miner/jewelcrafter, moreso as my guild didn't have a 300+ JC and we were getting rinsed in the AH for gems. I still have my qualms, but at least I have a profession now that I can advertise over trade. Even made myself a little office out of one of the empty shops in Stormwind - not so much an office, as I just stand there!

o forgot to mention

if your stick with d/e

collect your mats like he said, use all the enchants useful for you on your equipment for points bevfore selling

but dont sell your items in one big stack

sell them in pieces depending on their prices, just chekc out the prices of the same items in your ah. Nobody likes buying one huge expensive stack when they only need 5 or 3. Your better mats will sell for more than enough alone.

And one thing. last time i auctioned a few, i didnt see any auctioning investement requirement[at 24hours]. So it wont cost you any if they [somehow]fail.

My rogue's a miner/enchanter who i intend on usiing to solo dungeons for money. Lockpicking can get the chests in SFK and above. It does cost money, but it's already starting to pay off at lvl 21

if you're mining/ enchanter just remember you make more with enchanter at higher levels. I'd advise taking up enchanter at 35+. this is mainly because you can start soloing your first decent dungeions and at the same time level it up to above 225. which is the point at which you can make decent returns for your time. before that for money pick up herbing + mining. fadeleaf makes money whatever the level while other herbs are decent to sell. mining. well 3 professions now use ore and bars. you tell me if it doesnt' make money.
