WTF - My AP keeps disappearingFollow

I've just dinged to 67, equipped a whole new bunch of gear that I've been saving (some I made, some I bought) After I equipped it, my AP in berseker (with the 10% AP boost via talents) is 1348. Right, this may be good or not, dunno ... the point is that when the ui refreshes after going through a portal / hearthing, logging out and in, etc - I lose about 250 ap on that number - it sits at 1150.

I unequip all my kit, re-equip and bam, back at 1348.

I then change to battle stance and the number goes down to 1258, which is less the 10% improvement. This number I have confirmed by going through an exercise of adding up all my str stats, ap enchants, sockets, etc ,etc. 1258 is correct.

Why then does that number fluctuate so drastically, and no, I have no potion or any other kind of buff on me.

I first noticed this happening a few levels ago, but just figured that I had assumed I had more AP than I actually did. I now know that this is not the case.

Anybody else encounter this ?

I talked to a GM recently because I had the same issue with my Defense Rating constantly changing. Apparantly it is a known problem with Warriors Stats changing for no apparant reason. Will be fixed as soon as they figure it out I guess.

I had this problem too a while ago. I was questing in zangramarsh and my ap used to vary between 1400 and 1200 or smth like that. I was very confused on why this is happening.

After some time it hit me - it was the Battle Shout :D

Some gear doesn't add to your character stats until you re-equip the gear. This is true for not just warriors.

This is true only when you go through a load screen, ie.; from logging in, portals, instance changes, and other forms of zoning.

It's not a widely known issue, but it is an issue.

Specifically, my Overlord's Helmet of Second Sight doesn't apply it's;
