Stuffs about CoSahdowsFollow

#1 Apr 26 2007 at 6:17 PM Rating: Decent
if you CoS in the middle of a dot, will the dmg of the next tick increase? if you use CoS right after you cast SB (after the cast, but before the SB lands) will the SB have its dmg increased? I think ive noticed the dots' ticks increasing afterwards, but im pretty sure SB wont receive a bonus unless CoS is put on beforehand. just wondering if anyone knew about this stuff for sure

The damage increase starts the moment you put the curse on. If your Curse of Shadow hits before the Shadow Bolt then the damage will be increased. If your Curse of Shadow hits before your next tick of Corruption then that tick will be increased.

I usually fire a Shadow Bolt at enemies before I use Curse of Shadow since the curse would pull aggro instantly while the other way around I get to fire a Shadow Bolt with the long cast time first. I also use the same method when I feel like blowing soul shards on Soul Fire.

I started doing that by mistake in BG's back when I was destruction, I'd start casting Soul Fire and then realize I hadn't chucked CoE in and did it while the blast was in the air. I then noticed that It was easy to do when you were some good 20-25+ yards away and It didn't give people a warning they were about to be blasted, and it didn't give mages and druids the chance to wipe it off of course.

Still do that when I open with a blast move (althought that is not too often).
