Questions on stunlocks and proper executions of them.Follow

Hi people! I play a level 42 Gnome Rogue which I plan to pvp with at 49, and I'm still not fully clear with how stunlocks are executed in the best way. Which order is the smartest one, and do you waste cooldowns on all stunlocks?

Is this the right order? Cheap Shot - SS/Muti - Kidney Shot - SS/Muti - Gouge - Get range for restealth or Vanish? - Repeat

And also, should you waste cooldowns on all stunlocks and is there no need to try to execute a fairly good one without for example Vanish ready?

Thanks in advance!

You need preparation to do a true stunlock. also that talent that makes cs give 3 cps instead of 2 is good

CS-ss-tick-gouge-tick-tick-KS-ss-range-stealth or vanish if needed- rinse repeat.

this is used w/o prep blind and vanish and sprint are used with prep.

In my experience, every fight is different. Becoming reliant on preset combos can leave you scattered when a crucial step fails to hit. Our lives are dictated by chance, whether it be our chance to crit, restore energy, or generate extra combo points, land poison, dodge... and so on ad naseum.

A perfect stunlock is a lovely thing, but sometimes a 5 point cold blood evascerate is just too good to pass up.

Experiment. Get a feel for the different sequences. Learn your abilities. Remain flexible. Often the best move to make next is not the one on your list.

You don't need any preparation at all to stunlock if you're the right build (i.e. mutilate). Subtlety can pull of a half-*** stunlock with hemo and combat just sucks at it.

For Mutilate (at 70):

1.) CS (Gains you either 2-3 combo points, based on initiative).
2.) Mutilate (Gains you either 2-3 combo points, depending on crit).
3.) 5 or 4 point KS (80% chance to be a 5 point, has a 25% chance afterwards to restore another combo point).
4.) Mutilate (Gains you 2-3 combo points, depending on crit).
5.) Finisher if the opponent is close to dead (Casters or other Rogues), Blind if opponent isn't close to death.
6.) Wait and Restealth.
7.) Sap.
8.) Wait for diminishing returns to cycle through.
9.) Restart at step 1. This will kill any class if done correctly and they're susceptible to blind-extended stunlock.

Ahh, combat sucks at stun lock usually... but don't forget that in most world PvP situations we'll have adrenaline rush ready. That = ez-mode stun lock since you basically can't use energy fast enough, even if it's only for a short time.

Sometimes stunlocks won't work on mages since they tele and freeze your gluts :)
Also, if you try to stunlock a smart warlock, he will have his slave charm you. So expect to get locked in fear :)

Lock with a succubus is pretty much only good at killing melee. Most will have a felhunter out just because that thing pwns casters.

In other words, highly unlikely you'll encounter alot of locks with a succubus. Although it does make for a rather interesting battle if they use it.
