I just bought TBC and I'm thinking of rolling a Dranei priest. I'm in a mainly PvP guild and I was wondering if Shadow is the only way to go for PvP or if there is some sort of spec for Holy that would deal good damage as well.

Well I don't know about damage, but 28/33 healers are basically a staple of arena teams in TBC. You'll be healing, no doubt, but healing is completely viable in PvP, as long as you don't have some wierd gratification from KSing that you don't get merely from your team winning.

You can get pretty insane burst damage if you spec for holy dmg. If you crit a Smite for like 1.7k then get an insta-cast smite from SoL its another 1.2k then SWD is a good chunk of HP. Nice way to rock someone of 4-5k HP before they even know what happened. However, I think shadow is probably the better way to go because of silence.
