Building arrow?Follow

Just wondering if there is a way to make arrows in this game or not. It could make a difference for a new Night Elf hunter I'm rolling up, whether to keep her with bows or use my dwarf hunter to get her ammo and guns.

Unfortunately there is no way to make arrows as of yet. You can always purchase them from vendors, and you can turn in Thorium Bullets for Thorium Arrows (quest in Orgrimmar if you're Horde not sure about alliance), but you can't make arrows from any profession, only bullets.

i wish they would add woodworking or something like that to the game.
to make staffs, arrows, bows/xbows and maces.
would be an awesome proffesion if you ask me.
(and placing choppable tree's all around should be doable too i think)

I would agree completely. If you wanted to hunt around in the professions forum, I had a rather large "Nature" profession posted some time ago. I could always dig it up and put it in here if your interested if you wanted to poke at it for fun.

Also, I do believe the next expansion will have some kind of woodcraft. If they leave it out again, i'm going to have to see how many arrows I can make out of one of their interns bones.

Lol, personally I dont use bows/arrows, but I always thought it BS that you couldnt craft bows/arros, but you could craft guns/bullets

Yeah woodworking, were you would make various symbols for gear (socketed or applied like a leather kit), make bows/arrows, totems/idols, and maybe some headpieces (since LW can make cloth (cloak) why not), also doing something of an enchant by "carving" your staff/mace/whatever, as well as crafting wands, maces, shields, and staves

Iv'e got it all worked out, Blizz needs to do something about it...

And now that Caldone has posted his idea's, my urge to post the ones I had up before are just to high. So with that said...

-Various Bows

-Various Arrows
(hey, we can already make guns/bullets)

-Some Bone weapons/armors (not enough to really get in the way of dedicated armor/weapon smiths, but some bone (mail) armor and weapons would be kinda cool)

-Staves and other wood based weapons (spears would probobly be one also)

-Poisons (not that having Nature Craft would let you use them, but you could make them for rogues)

-Nature Pets (squirrel, bluejay, snake, etc)

-Universal Pet Food (for hunters pets ^_^ one food feeds all)

-Cart (would be a trinket used after you summon your mount. depending on the level of cart, you would be able to let 2-4 players hop on your cart for a ride. would make it so you dont HAVE to have a level 60 mount to keep up with a level 60, as long as they were willing to give you a ride)

-Cloak of Camaflauge (sp?) (would give you a 1-time use of shadowmeld-like effect, or be on a 10-60 minute cooldown)

-Stink Bomb (3 second fear that would use your poison resist instead of normal fear resist, with a cooldown obviously)

-Traps (poison dart traps, snares, stuff like that)

-Poisoned Food (for dealing with beasts, you could toss them the tainted food and knock them out for a while)

-Fishing Poles/Fishing Lores (Natural fishing lores would just be an alternative to Engineering, but Engineering should lose poles, other than the advanced mechanical ones, and instead get fishing grenades XD made in stacks of 5, your char would drop a bomb into the water and you would click on the dead body of the fish when it rose to the surface of the water to catch it, lol. Pretty much just cause it would be funny)

-Could make Resins using some of the higher level herbs for stronger leather armor crafting for the leatherworking profession

-Could use some herbalism components to create stronger mixtures for herbalism (ex: 5 peacebloom and 5 silverthorn = silverbloom paste, stuff like that, that would be used by alchemists to get stronger, new recipes)

-Beast Whistle (you could craft whistles of different levels that could be used as a lore to summon a beast, which you would then be able to tame (if your a hunter, if the beast is tamable) or kill it. the better the whistle, the higher the level it would summon)

-Lesser Poisons (use herbalism to make minor poisons that do not add effects like a rogues poison. these would simply be procs to do poison damage that would take the place of an enchanting spot on your weapon, and would not be a DoT)

noob, go train your bow+xbow skill to 350 ;)

got all 3 skills, and i'll use the best weapon i can get wether that is a bow, crossbow or gun.
(only xbow skill is a little low, somewhere around 325, both others are 349.... last point sucks to get....and i might even get thrown, just for fun XD)

that is all that matters.

there are so many people saying "dwarves dont use bows" when having the opportunity for a huge upgrade.
and same goes for Nelfs with guns.

solid part, bone would be a nice addition, also requires you to use mob dropped things wich is fun.

no, just no. especially for the cart, it would break the game.
pets food and poisons dont fit in woodworking and poisons is doubled up from the rogue ability.

nice ^^ using herbalism for crafting too.

more of the nature part, wich wouldnt be a good idea.

change resins to wooden idols and other things and its good.
fishing poles is funny, but not that great as there are enough already.

Ah, I forgot a small part of my post that may have made a bit of a difference to your responses. My craft was "Nature Craft" not "Wood Craft". And yea, I know some of those idea's would never work, I just threw the thing together for fun one day.
