You are at 196 passive ArP so coming to the dark side, using the Shred idol and being evil may produce some results.

Galen here is something that may influence you onto the dark side with Horse ArP info. Nice and simple which is the way I like it!

While I am still considering it myself I am unsure as it reduces your ability to tank that last little bit of health on a boss which can be win or fail! Last week when fighting mimi both tanks decided to die on phase 4 (I think with roughly 25% left on all three parts) so I switched into bear and we downed him :) In hindsight I should have switched my staff as it has beserking but we got the job done and all were pleased

Edit: I knew I forgot something :) Gz Galen, now give it to me and I will give you a nice ball of yarn little kitty

First off gratz Galen on the stick and guruness, I did it just now.

I have wrist question.

I have Mechanist's Bindings , Deadly Wrists and Thrusting Bands at my disposal.

I have a PvP, a tank and a cat set.

I am thinking Deadly == PvP, Mechanists == Cat and Thrusting == Tank.

Mainly as my tank set is insanely low on hit and I want to fix that.

Opinions?

edit: the XT hard bracers arent an option yet

That is how I would do it and also a BiS gear list that I stumbled across agrees. If thrusting drops I will finally replace Bindings of the Tunneler in my offspec :) Although they have served me well :)

I got the Uld wrists Monday and the Thrusters tonight.

The Uld wrists are better for tank but my hit is that low in my tank set.

But ya those blue wrists are insanely well itemized and a very strong piece of gear.

This is the gear list that I was going by Emmerald BiS List and it has the Thrusting Bands outdoing Mechanist's Bindings on both mitigation and TPS but this is using their stat weighting. For kitty Mechanist's Bindings outdo Thrusting Bands by 28 DPS again using their stat weighting. I need to go in Naxx 25 to get Grim Toll, stupid thing only dropped once while I was in there and someone else won it :( That would have made me come to the dark side with you Horse :)

I won GT before everyone knew how hot it was, I was lucky.

Haven't checked Emerald in a minute.

The Uld wrist does have more goodness and if I wasn't struggling for hit there would be no question.

I'm guessing Emeralds list has hit or expertise rated higher than some others. The hit for threat and exp for mitigation. I disagree as parry hasting is in general a minimal issues with most bosses in Uld as rapid physical damage is rarely the issue. Maybe with Thorim and/or 1-2 other guys is a parry haste melee shot likely to be a tank death.

The stam and agi boost would be better for many droods that have more hit than me tbh. I have as$loads of expertise on my tank set.

I am leaning towards my question being the answer. If I get more hit things on other gear things could change.

I like get opinions as gear rankings exist in a vacuum by nature. Gear and opinions of people I respect do not.

I just checked the stat weightings and Mechanist's Bindings gets penalised for having haste and also expertise is valued much higher than crit which is the other stat on the Mechanist's Bindings beyond Agi, stam and AP. I think your comment below says it all. More expertise is always nice but once you have gone above and beyond the dodge cap it loses value to some extent. I think I have rather poor hit on my tanking set, will check tonight and see how much I actually have.

This is a pain for our team too but we always start from behind due to adds left alive from phase one. Maybe if we make a mess of it at one point we should kill the extra adds before starting phase 2.....

How many people and who do you send in? It was just me (kitty) and a DK on Monday so I don't know if that was enough

we send in four people. once we port in, two go left and two go right. typically this is me (war), a ret pally, a feral druid and a healy priest. the priest keeps us alive because the influence tentacles have this souped up thorns aura where they deal a % of the damage they take back to their attackers. my job is to just whack the first few tentacles as i pass to drop their disguises then get into the back and kill those tentacles. usually the feral druid will kill the ones i first whack and the ret pally finishes off the rest on his side of the room. then we charge the brain and go ******* on it.

typically we'll have about 20-30 seconds of good dps time on the brain before we have to get out, which means we usually have the illusion rooms cleared in 15-20s. it takes about 3-4 seconds for us to run over to the brain and then we usually play it safe and bug out around t-minus 4 seconds or so. better to leave early than to come out insane.

I do enjoy watching me go wipe the raid when I go insane :) but I would like to sort out this phase and have a chance to down Yogg also :) I think our team will have to have a think about who goes into the portals as there has only been myself and one other melee class the past few times that we have got to Yogg.

TY for the Guru.

I've been using Toskks DPS Method lately. It's nice because it is form fitted baby. :P

You put on your gear, get into kitty form, put your stats into the conversion sheet, punch in your talents and any buffs you might have for 10's or 25's and it'll give you a read-out of basic Energy per attack, dps, time on target, etc.

It'll also allow you to chose what tier bonuses you have and trinkets and each thing you change in the conversion sheet will change the ranking of the items for each slot.

So based on your current stats + buffs + tier bonuses + trinkets, you can figure out what pieces will be an upgrade, say if taking a piece will break a tier bonus, you can unclick the tier bonus and check the ranking of the tier piece vs the new piece to see how they compare.

I loves it. :P

I use Mechanists to tank and to dps, but I just randomly switch the enchant on them depending. I have lots of mats heheh.

EDIT: Also, you can use the Toskks Time to Live calculator for bear gear :P

First Uld 25 run with my guild, I finally have enough free time in the evenings to raid again. Keep in mind, this is all in my crappy Heroic/Naxx 10/Naxx 25 gear.

XT: 7264 (with some 28k FBs during heart phase)
WWS

I also picked up t8.5 Chest and hands, Waistguard of the Creator, and Gloves of the Stone Reaper. We're skipping hard modes this week pending a possible server transfer. Should kill Freya, General Vezax, and Yogg tonight. It's nice being the only person in leather, and one of the few people that still needs t8.5.

So sad, our legendary now has a spellpower enchant for last nights raid. There have been some discussions in the guild about funding re-enchants on it before and after each raid and making it against the rules for the priest to log out with a SP enchant on it :)

I also got Twisted Visage last night as well as Winter's Icy Embrace which is a slight upgrade over 5/5 T8.5 - and even better - I finally beat our #1 feral druid (there are 3 of us) in a fight :)

So, the upgrades are pouring in....picked up Guise of the Midgard Serpent tonight in Uld 10.

We were going to run 25, didn't have enough, decided to start 10's early to give us more time on Yogg.

It means I lose the 2 piece T7 bonus, but overall it seems to be an upgrade. I never had a problem with the rotation before, now I'm just want to down Yogg and get my T8 chest for the 4pcT8 bonus.

Anyway. yeah....

I have that hat for mah tank spec.

It looks hideous. I love it. I mean its really ugly. I wear it and it scares children on Azeroth when I am in Northrend.

On a guild note.

We cleared everything before the keepers in Uld10 tonight for the first time.

So happy.

Gz on upgrades all who got them :) My WoW has decided to die on me and everytime I try to log in I get errors.....trying to solve (most suggested solutions are none WoW related) them but when you have a 1TB HDD some of the things that you need to do take a loooong time :( maybe I should have brought my pc into work with me and done what was needed while I was here :) Nothing else to do when the plant isn't working :)

Gz Horse, we usually just skip most of the bosses and head straight for Kolo, Panther and then the keepers. Have you killed all of the keepers? Mimi is definitely the most fun of all of them IMO

We killed all the Keepers last week. Was the first IC kill for the guild.

Our Guildox 10 man strict ranks are 10 for achievements and 13 for progress for the server now.

I like the 10 strict thing as the GM of a 10 man guild.

About 5 days into my 2 week raiding hiatus.

I'm loving it.

I've farmed over 1000 ore, 5 more stacks of titanium and leveled up my hunter.

Now I just need to do some 3's on my druid and i'll be a happy druid.

I changed my offspec to boomkin so I could be thrown up on FL and actually contribute. I haven't been boomkin since before level 70, and now I have a pretty nice gear set, even if it is resto. I have to say, boomkin is seriously fun, at least to kill quest mobs. I love the 12K crits! Now I need a third spec :( And a place to put all my gear.

two more levels and im done. then ill be able to actually *play* the damn game. im thinking two resto specs:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0VGczZZf0IubuxVzAIswo - for a general pve/pvp arena/bg healing build.

and

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0ZxhGs0ddZcxIubuxVzAos - for a feral charge/resto healy build that would be really friggin annoying to fight against. not 100% certain on its viability, but i loves me some feral charge hotness, and a 30s CD on bash is sexy.

thoughts?

Hey Arex I'm a Boomkin. I think I'm pretty decent. Maybe you can rate meh gear and tell me what to fix? I know i need to replace the hit gem on my head pice. I just ogt a few pieces of 8.0/5 gear so that put me way over the cap. I'm missing the 50 spell power to my new legs because I keep forgetting to buy the enchant for some odd reason...

I really really REALLY need a new freaking weapon. I used to have damnation but opted for a main hand/off hand combo. Due to a combo of ****** rolls and the fact that I don't get much play time being in the military, getting a new staff/mace/dagger is a wee bit hard. Oh, or my lock buddy ******** me out of the dagger that drops off of KT and then getting plasma foil later that day...

Alright, things I see that you can change.

You already said you would fix the hit gem in your helm. Go with a 9sp/8hst gem for that socket.

Chest - Replace your hit gem with the 9sp/8spirit gem. And 10 stats if you can afford it.

Legs - Replace your 19 sp with 16 haste gem

Boots - I would put tuskarr's vitality personally since you're still way the hell over the hit cap.

Doing this is going to...

-32 hit
+22 haste
-12 crit rating
+6 spell power
Faster Run Speed

I think my math is correct here on this.

Otherwise everything else is correct. Just try to get to right on 400 or near and around 400 for your haste.

As for your spec.

If you don't need mana regen I highly suggest moving a few points.

Those 3 points in intensity would be better off in Imp IS. Biggest reason is in 3.2 when eclipse is changed you'll find it a better dps increase.

You could also take 2 points from Moonglow and put them into Imp MF. It's a minor dps increase if you find mana isn't an issue.

If you do plan to go into IMP FF you'll want to lose your starfall glyph and pick up the MF glyph.

So, there you go. Thats about it.

Thanks for the tips Arex. Once i get off work in another 19hrs I'll get started on these changes. I completely forgot I was even wearing that chest piece. I have another chest that I got off of 10man Razor(can't remember name) and am going to wear that once I get 2 more pieces of tier 8.0/5 depending on the slots.

Can't type worth a crap today...

We finally downed Yogg 10 man on Saturday after a few attempts. It just seemed to click all of a sudden and on our second time of reaching phase three we had the balance right :) Phase one we had no guardians left standing as Sara was killed, phase two - the three people (Kitty - me, a DK and a Pally) that were going into the portals went nuts on the brain and finished off the brain with plenty of time left on the second set of portals, the people outside were keeping the place clean of tentacles and then phase three we downed Yogg with lots of time to spare :) Once it was done I think all were so relieved and happy that we just stood round talking about it for a good 20 or 30 minutes. I wish we could do as well on our 25 man runs :)

Thanks to all those who have posted tips on how to get him down, bring on hard modes!
