It's definitely one of the drugs that can most easily come back to bite you in the *** later. Partly because it can literally give you a second trip way down the line, when you aren't in any kind of safe atmosphere and will probably freak out. Partly because you have no way of knowing if you're going to have a good or bad trip, no way of controlling that, and that whether or not the trip is good doesn't even come from the chemical itself.

Shrooms are the same there. Guy from work once got chased by a friend with a knife after he had a bad trip. His friend thought he was a monster and decided he needed to slay him.

Really, anything that's a major hallucinogen can **** you up, badly.

the second trip thing is urban legend.

the knowing about a good or bad trip thing is true if you don't either have a guide or know what you are doing. having a good setting, group and mindset can really make or break a trip. then again randomly taking acid can be a lot of fun but doing that sort of thing is not something aeth should do as it is his first time. the point being that making sure you feel safe is also something i'd strongly recommend.

shrooms are just HILARIOUS. ya, you can get in a weird way but again if you have done a lot of psychedelics you can usually get your head back into a good place. the kicker with them is they start off intense then taper off so if you aren't ready for that initial burst of otherness...

mescalin is more like acid than shrooms. can tend to be a bit more visual though. only done it like 3-4 times so not as familiar with it is acid or mushrooms.

edit: in case it wasn't obvious i've done a shit ton of acid and mushrooms.

Yeah, not just going to take it randomly and most of the negative experiences/reports come from people who did it without any preparation, like kids from America who went to Amsterdam and then just decided to all use shrooms because they could (which is the reason they're illegal now).

As far as drugs are concerned the risks are really minimal, you can't overdose, it's not addictive and with someone there to look out for you you can control the risk of something dangerous happening too.

And even my mom has tried more drugs than I have and that's just wrong. Smiley: tongue

I've never had hallucinations, outside of dreams, so I'm mildly intrigued.

I'm all for trying anything once as long as it's your own decision to do so. I say go for it.

That and taking precautions so you won't hurt other people.

the second trip thing is urban legend.
LSD users can experience flashbacks. They occur suddenly and without warning, and have been known to occur more than a year later.

While I have no problem with anyone experimenting with drugs, I don't think anyone should do so without having full knowledge of the drug's effects. And, of course, as Aethien said:

As far as I know they are exceedingly rare though.

This is how I feel too, but I wouldn't ever try LSD myself. Shrooms aren't very likely either because I hate mushrooms. My biological mother did PCP while she was pregnant with me, and I've always been extremely hesitant to try any harder drugs because of it. I'm good with just doing pot on occasion.

Also, doing laundry at a laundromat is a mixed bag. It's convenient because you can get six loads done in 2.5 hours, but it sucks because that cost me and my roommate $34.

You can just make tea out of them.

And mushrooms are awesome!

Well, it's about the effects more than the taste after all. The whole reason that they make you hallucinate is that they're mildly poisonous so I don't think they'll taste good regardless of the way you consume them.

That said, people have done crazier things to get high.

***** tea. I'll take mine with a bottle of beer.

Maybe a shot of something stronger to take the aftertaste, y'know?

Oh, wow, Tails... your Facebook page is full of win.

David Bradley, who portrayed Filch in some of the Harry Potter movies also played the role of Walder Frey in Game of Thrones. Michelle Fairley, who portrayed Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones also portrayed Hermione's mother in some of the Harry Potter movies.

I don't actually know what the combination of shrooms and alcohol does. May not be good.

Obviously.

I'm wondering which will be harder to track down: a mushroom pusher or a broadaxe dealer.

Sounds like a good combo shop to invest in. Hallucinogens and viking armaments, what could possibly go wrong?

There are online markets for drugs that aren't terribly hard to find. Then again, a weaponsmith is probably just a google away.

I prefer the personal touch. A cashier who smiles and welcomes you, or is naked screaming about standing real still so they can hit the goblins on your shoulder.

I have no clue how I'll make it another hour or two to get lunch... I really should have remembered to eat breakfast.

And jesus Maz, has gaming taught you nothing? You take a short walk through a forest and gather the necessary materials, then stand in front of your fireplace and POOF, axe.
